Well I'd suggest MacA has clearly had the worst season of our 5 midfielders. The only one of them having a poor season himself.

This belongs here so those who can't remember how we played and why it worked can compare our goals and play last season to the dross they're suffering this season with the change of formation and style of play

Watch the playing style, the cut and thrust, how our short balls last season are 10-15 yards how Szobo or Macca or both move into the space created by our front three pushing their defence back. Watch how we score from nicking it in the press and counter press and on the counter, all Klopp play

Please stop bashing our title winning players for issues caused purely and simply by a formation change and style of play change and trying to make Wirtz a designated playmaker like it's the 90's

By the way, how good was Wirtz for the chance that Gakpo had cleared off the line?

If you look at last season the formation and style change is absolutely killing the other players, they are all clearly under instruction to give Wirtz the ball hes bound to create something but Diaz was creating more from LFWD last season on his own without being a designated playmaker

WIrtz is a fine player in a lower paced league in which he's used as just another player and joins and links the play when it comes his way, not with every player under clear instruction to constantly give it him

Szobo isn't happy about it, read between the lines when asked about his goal v Bradford "Yeah I was in my position check last seasons goals we have a midfield 3 and Szobo or Macca move from there to a 10 position or both of them to make 2 10's when Grav does it by driving forward, watch Szobo and Macca pick up ready for the counter press

There's a need for it where it has relevance, so those that don't have the memory of how we played last season under Slot and without Wirtz can view how we did, have a refresher and realise the truth and that SLot has lost the plot and needs to go and a manager who will have THE TEAM play as they did last season albeit without Diaz brought in

Nah Wirtz is a class player in this league. One of the best young players in the world and a pure delight to watch.

If you can't enjoy watching Wirtz play for LFC you're in the wrong game.
