Will Harvey Elliott remain at Villa or go to the States?

Haha, should be a very interesting summer again, that's for sure.

Good shout. It's not the most interesting stuff but it is all part of the process I suppse. Elliott is an interesting one. Could he come back and get some game time I wonder? With Salah not 100%, Chiesa awful and Isak out for the season there's an argument to play Elliott a bit more.

We should cut our small losses with Chiesa and give Harvey his place.

As much as I like Fede he’s never going to make it.

Somewhat agree, bit pointless all round...

    Positive news

Liverpool have become the top-earning Premier League club for the first time, according to analysis from financial firm Deloitte.

The Reds won the English top-flight title last season and generated 836m euros (£702m) in revenue - more than any other English side.

Manchester United fell to their lowest ever position in what is the 29th edition of the Deloitte Football Money League.

Real Madrid again top the list with 1.2bn euros (£1.01bn), despite not winning the Champions League or La Liga last season, as both Manchester clubs dropped down the list.

There are six Premier League clubs in the top 10 and 15 in the top 30, but for the first time there is no English team in the top four.

Barcelona were second, moving back into the top three for the first time since 2019-20 after generating 975m euros (£819m), despite playing away from their Nou Camp stadium last season as it was renovated.

Bayern Munich are third on 861m euros (£723m), Champions League winners Paris St-Germain fourth on 837m euros (£703m) and Liverpool fifth.

Overall, the revenue of the top 20 clubs went up by 11% to a record 12.4bn euros (£10.4bn).

I'm at the point where I'd rather see Elliott coming on as sub than Chiesa. Nothing personal but Chiesa's just nowhere near the level we need. Whether or not he leaves this window might depend on if Elliott comes back. That whole situation with Villa is messy. So we might be stuck with Chiesa till the summer.

[Paul Joyce, The Times] - Liverpool are planning to open contract talks with Ryan Gravenberch who has 2 years remaining on deal. On Elliott - MLS is not an option Elliott is contemplating. As it stands, he will not be returning to Liverpool either. Liverpool have no recall option.

That was 20 days not sure how accurate that is, surely Villa can cut the loan?

Feel a bit bad for him, he's wasting away

Yep he's obviosuly gone to Villa expecting to play and that hasn't worked for him. Not sure Slot fancies bringing him back either. I reckon he could be a decent option given our form and injuries but what do I know
