I remember you and REG going at it regularly. There was also a guy who regularly put great photos up from the matches which were fantastic.
Prince/Karl wrote a lot of very good articles, and there were a couple of active female posters who gave great insights.
It's pretty toxic on here now though, with a lot of name calling, spite and a complete intolerance for opinions not matching their own.

It would have been incredible to get a load of the stories and how they intertwined together

There’s been so many great posters here, it’s like life and all the best ppl you meet they all come at different times and you wish they could have come together and still be here sometimes

It was always debate on here with the virus there’s no counter argument or debate or why, I might be vehement in my views at times but I have always been able to agree to differ even after heated debate, it’s what we used to do here and I will always explain my reasoning for my views

Well I hope im not in your 3 Miller old boy I’m quite happy for someone to have a different opinion I might debate that 😂 but I agree to differ, a few of us in this thread had differences of opinion we debated vehemently and agreed to differ

It’s the not arguing their point, I know I’m not everyone’s cup of tea but I’ve always articulated and presented why I believe or feel what I do, maybe too much at times, apologies for that

It was late Autumn/early Winter of 2009 for me. Rafa's last season where things were coming to a head off-the-pitch and we showed signs that we might slip out of the Champion's League spots (which we did) which had seemed unthinkable at the end of 08/09 where, prior to the transfer window, I thought we could seriously challenge for a Premier League and the Champion's League. The 08/09 team hadn't won anything, but looked so much better than our 04/05 side and had an incredible spine. Then Alonso-gate happened and we all know the rest.

I'd been lurking for a while - not sure how long - on here, RAWK and a couple of others.

I was drawn to some of the good posts in here and also liked that there seemed to be less than 100 (regular) users, so you could get a feel for people's general stances on things, temperaments etc and actually remember things like "poster X really rates player Y" etc etc

Think my first post was partly an intro and partly a comment on Rafa's love of the 62nd-67th window for a sub, noting how he tended to like to bring Lucas on for Masch - Leviathan (I think) was the first to say "Hello, good post, welcome to the forum" and all that buzz.

Forum's regularly been a comfortable place through some very trying times and turbulent spells with employment, a lack of employment, trying to become self-employed (and so on) whilst juggling what is "wrong" with me and dealing with some difficult losses.

Thought at the start of the season I'd be off here for most of it but the tribulations of that horrid run of form sucked me back in.

Some excellent posters here over the years. Prince, Leviathan, n4c, North Wales Red, Craoibhe Rua, Balinkay (still in very occasional touch) RedNoodle and so on. Also some blurts as well over the years, but that's humanity for you.

It'll be a real shame when it goes belly up which it inevitably will at some point. It's having one of it's funny turns at the moment being slow to load etc.
I'll be sad when that happens, the removal of the PM feature was a great shame too.

I think I joined around maybe 15-20 years ago? My profile has been disabled from searching so no idea. I used to contribute, but the site got a wee bit poisonous and open to bullying at one point so I became a long time lurker. I remember when everyone’s post counts were reset and it went into meltdown!

Joined because I’m a long time fan of the club. My first time at Anfield was as a 7 year old. 4-0 win against Cov in 1982. What a team back then!

There were always great posters. Most names I can’t remember but The Prince with his RK avatar, and NeverOffside with his training pics were 2 of my favourites. I’m sure there were many more but the memory fades.

These days, way too much bitching and certain people just constantly repeating their own rhetoric, even if it is bollocks. I hate seeing politics being dragged in too. I really enjoy Insiduous posts though. Balanced, sensible and always a good read.

YNWA folks - I’ll keep lurking!

P.S. just remembered the ‘purple book’ guy who claimed to be the best ITK on the site. That was a fun period 😂

I remember your Username Rusty it would be great if you contributed again I miss the place being like it used to all the different opinions well constructed arguments and debate without any bullying or snideness and just agreeing to differ I think there’s a lot less of that now maybe because more supposed in depth analogy on the box

I think I’ve been a bit OTT with the Slot business this season and apologies if that’s bothered any of you, in short I just vehemently believe in things laid down by Shanks & Bob and remember when Souness & Evans messed with that and how disastrous it was and apologies for keep banging that drum 😂 but I’m not one for being told something unnecessary was necessary or to be gaslit about such things especially by some Johnny come lately
