We don't have the aura of a top 6 club at the moment. Teams are coming to Anfield knowing they will get good chances, and worse, when they play at home they are expecting to score. There is no sense of an uphill struggle before they even kick off any more. Bournemouth might as well have been playing Wolves today for they way they approached the game.

The players can have bad games, that's excusable, but where's the energy? That should come from the manager. Could you imagine the half time talk if Jürgen was in the dressing room? They'd have come out like their arses were on fire.

Is Slot the problem or the players?
I would keep Allison, VVD, Slobz, Gravs.
The rest could be swapped with whatever Everton or Newcastle have to offer in the remaining positions. That's how bad this team is. Anyway, last season was amazing considering who was in the team. Don't be fooled. We were piss poor last season too.

Don’t be fooled we were excellent last season

It us the changes to the playing style and system that has caused the issues

A change of manager to one using the players best skills will work a treat

What was really bizarre about the match was there were 3 or 4 times we had a clear opportunity to score in the box and the player instead passed the ball to nobody

    It was beyond weird

Avoiding responsibility. A recurring theme of the season up to now.

That is definitely a thing late in games at the moment. Nobody wants to have the shot that gets missed/saved to ironic jeers from the crowd - trying to walk it in.

It's the players. There's been a massive drop off in form by the likes of VvD, Macca, Grav, Robbo, Konate and most importantly Salah. Any new manager coming in will have to replace those players over the next 18 months. Nobody could have foreseen all those players collapsing at once but that's where we're at.

I think it's a culmination of both. A collective of players don't lose form like that in an instant.
He's sucked the belief and fight out of them.
His subs yesterday were just plain bizarre. Substitute bingo again, how the fuck did Gakpo get so long yesterday. Brings Ekitike on and removes the two players who you'd likely see as the most creative for him to be effective.

Yea it's definitely a bit of both but Slot shouldn't need to coach Virgil how to clear a long ball. That's just sloppy and we've seen far too much of that from the players I mentioned this season.

The subs are more about managing game time. Some of that will have been informed by the fitness people at the club so his hands are probably tied a bit with how much he can play everyone.
