At the moment when we play with Salah and Gakpo (when on the left) it can feel like playing with nine men.

I'd love to see what we look like with genuine pace and penetration (giggity) out wide to see how much of a difference it would make, especially if complimented by a version of Isak that doesn't have a broken leg and has a bit of form.

I envisage that scenario and wonder how many points better off we would be - would it be 10? It doesn't seem an enormous stretch - and if we WERE 10 points better off it put us "up there" this season, with us still (for now) in the FA Cup and Champion's League.

That's a few ifs-and-buts, but a part of me does want to see that. Saying that, part of me also wants change, simply because watching us feels a chore right now.

The question I suppose is how long will it take and what does "Slot-ball" at Liverpool look like at its peak? It would be nice to "turn the dial" a touch from control slightly towards tenacity/chaos once he feels he can trust us a bit more to protect the middle.

Also, if we are definitely aiming to build the side around Wirtz and a striker (which I'm not against) I'd really like to see him surrounded by plenty of pace and power in both the midfield and wide areas. Grav and Szoboszlai are suitable fits for this mould - Mac Allister arguably has a question mark in current form as a first-teamer.

this seson is a write-off for many reasons hope we get far in the cups and top 5 at least

Next season should be good with a few additions and a baller wide attacker hopefully with isak back too, but at the moment we're having to watch Gakpo and salah every week, how can it possibly be fun to watch or anything ?

You were 100% correct Slot did fix the midfield and don’t jet their bulky boy double team act tell you any different he brought in 3 absolute class midfielders and Slot’s making them look like shite and not making the best of them

Last season when they still played the same with what Jurgen instilled in them all 3 were brilliant

I personally wouldn't listen to someone who has just been slapped down on another forum for abusing the "like" option. He had fake accounts or some other way of boosting his own posts and was caught

Given that said person joined this forum 20 years ago, you'd think they are 40-50 years old at least. Now imagine doing that behaviour at 40 or 50
