Wirtz is a good player but only suited to being a 10 or maybe false 9

He could (and in the instance we go 4-3-3, should) play the left-sided 8 in a 4-3-3 set-up given how well we thrives in the left half-space.

It's there in a 4-3-3 or as the 10-role in a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-4-2 Diamond which I still think could be excellent with the right balance. Kerkez and Frimpong are certainly capable of providing that width.

However, with the players we have and in form a diamond or 4312 seems like such an obvious solution. Remove the wingers and have the fullbacks providing the width.

It's be closer to how Xabi set us up, should we be looking at him in the summer of course...

Everything wrong with it, one greatest strength under Jurgen was the team the entire team was the star collective responsible for making the play making things happen and making the difference you don’t build a team around anyone it makes you far weaker

This idea of trying to build a team around one player nowhere near as good as Bobby was making the play and creating was a nonsense from Slit from day one

I went back and watched the highlights of the game that changed everything when Hendo came on at HT away at Southampton at 1-1 and we went on to win 3-1 with him getting the third assisted by Bobby

Just seeing how Bobby did what he did to assist really brought home just how ridiculously overhyped and overrated Wirtz has been, he could never assist like that with those skills and attributes
