Yes. I think we can judge him better after next season. To me he's shown glimpses of real quality. He can be very frustrating though as he does something clever and positive one minute then passes it straight to the opposition the next. There are mitigating factors too I think. The team as a whole hasn't been functioning and that's been true whether Wirtz is in the team or not. If it was a case of Wirtz being dropped and suddenly the team plays well, then I'd be more inclined to see him as the problem. But that hasn't been the case. We can count on one hand how many players have had an okay season for us: Alisson, VVD, Szobo, Ekitike. The rest have been patchy at best. I like Frimpong but he's had a lot of setbacks. Also Grav is quality but at times has been hit and miss this season. So all of that is a huge caveat for me. If we get a differnet coach next season I wouldn't be surprised to see Wirtz flourish.
