Yep… Do we think Gakpo will prove good value at £250,000 a week? What balloon sanctioned that?? Presumably the same one who refused Diaz the same… Do we think his add ons - that’s another £65k a week - on top - will kick in..?
I mean IF they do - happy days… as we will be doing well but £315,000 a week for a player who, in his prime….struggles to perform even in his natural position… seems hugely idiotic,

Next season we have Jaquet and Leoni coming through, surely Virgil will play less games, which will make him a bit sharper.
Nope. As I say i'm a fan of Gakpo but he's not in that bracket of player. I'm not sure i'd have given Diaz £250k either to be honest, not for 4/5 years at 30. In the same way I wouldn't have given Mo £500k a year. I'd have just about given Virg his money.
It's a tough one for a number of players because of the way Slot has set us up this season. Mac looked phenomenal for 2/3rds of last season, as did Grav. Gakpo was useful throughout most of last season, but he like every single other player (other than Szobo) struggling like the rest.
Something, Something, Something, Dark Side
Jaquet hasn't even kicked a ball for us, whilst Leoni had only played a few minutes for us before sustaining a serious injury. I really wouldn't assume that those two players will get any substantial playing time or hit the ground running, at least to a level where we can afford to give Van Dijk a lighter workload.
Rumours heating up over alisson joining juventus in the summer.
If Mamardashvili isnt given the shirt he will be off as well.
Yep - I like him too, seems like a really nice lad... and he has had some good moments, but he isn't at the level. He never was in truth. Last season he was useful - but it was his best yet...but many of the 10 goals he scored were late runs at the end of a collective move - running onto a ball you'd expect most players in a wide berth to score. He was actually used to keep Diaz fresh. 6 of 10 goals were tap ins.. The season before that - Klopp's last - he was often a lonely bench warmer.
We got problems a plenty.
