No he hasn’t - there is literally zero chance Guehi comes to us and nothing anyone says can make me change my mind. 🤨

Twitter reckons Leoni is keen on a move and Chiesa not for sale.

If we did sign Leoni this month he could become "homegrown" with us.
Leoni would be an intelligent move for us amidst further future-proofing efforts, whilst Guehi solves some "right now" issues as well - we'd look much better-placed if both do indeed join, so fingers crossed.

Hmmm he is said to be seeking assurances over appearances...

Surely there won't be a better time for a centre back to join our current squad!

No, but hes staying apparently, didn't have much of a pre-season if any. and doesn't look like he will play much at all in the coming season.so who knows whats going on there

Our timing is also interesting - suspect we have waited for the outcome of the CAS decision and then sharpened the business blades.

Lolz. Hopefully these transfers get the sanction they require.

Liverpool have no intention of selling France defender Ibrahima Konate, 26, in this transfer window, despite working on moves for two centre-backs to strengthen their squad. (Mail)

Intentions can change as circumstances change. I wonder if he's getting nervous yet

I wonder, Guehi may come straight into the 11. I wonder how Koante will feel about that? I personally think we will let him leave if he wants for nothing. He'll obviously be offered a new contract.. Then its up to him. But the club is willing to let him go for nothing...

Worth noting that we are into the 25/26 season, meaning that without an extension, it will be the second-last year of Joe Gomez being at Liverpool.

Whilst I am not enormously confident of Konaté extending (Isak's arrival could swing this, ambition and all that?) or presuming that Guehi and Leoni both come, you have to say that we would have good depth.

                        Van Dijk
                        Konaté
Guehi (isn't 26 until next Summer!)
                        Leoni

                        - would look better than -

                        Van Dijk
                        Konaté
                        Gomez
                        Quansah

Indeed, if someone had offered a swap deal with Quansah going one way and Guehi the other, I think many would have taken it - and in terms of approximate rumoured fee (£35m) we could perhaps land on that yet.

Probably right that we're prepared for Konate to run down his contract.

If we do land Guehi and Leoni (which would be superb) we'd be in a much stronger position and then Gomez would be more likely to cover fullback and Tsimikas will be sold.

Won't get sold and doesn't get selected to play. Bizarre indeed

                              Related to Pizzuti…?

Don’t get me wrong I love the guy - but he is pointless if never played. His top level fitness is clearly miles off it now for that reason.

He was played clean through v Preston and he just couldn’t run, he staggered a few paces til he was caught by the defender. I thought then he looks done at top level to me. I wonder if other clubs were thinking the same as absolutely no one had made an offer, despite how cheap he would be
