Virgil was terrible as well he stood off for the second goal. hes doing that a lot..

Which is why I said earlier upthread that Guehi is not going to be the silver bullet solution to fixing our defense that most people think.

Virgil's also noticeably slowing down and getting sloppier.

I think we're going to have to win a lot of games by 5-3 scorelines, 4-2 like tonight, 6-5's......

Basically go back to the early Klopp days and outscore the other team to make up for our leaky defense.

Looks like a good acquisition alright. What do you make of Wirtz though? Admittedly I knew little of him before the summer. But u got te impression he was going to be creating havoc among the park the bus defences. Don't know what to think now.

Won’t see the best of him until other players really get up to speed with how he thinks. I don’t think he’s a guaranteed success in terms of living up that price tag. His game seems to be about doing small unexpected things in really tight spaces that open up space for himself and other players running off him. It happened once or twice tonight but nothing came from it. He’ll need time. I think his position has unbalanced our midfield though for now.

still don't think Szob and wirtz can start together sadly, I don't think the midfield works... needed a no6 to help grav to be honest, but it's been overlooked for whatever reason, doesn't help that we've had to make loads of changes elsewhere, stil would like Guehi and a good attacker, even if that's not isak, there's got to be someone out there, too much to ask for a midfielder too.
