RedMagic, hope you don't mind - I find lists easier to read than team after team in a lateral format, so am laying ours out in a list format with our Home games in bold just for myself, but also for anyone else who finds that easier to read.

    LIVERPOOL'S GAMES -

    Real Madrid
    Inter
    Atletico Madrid
    Frankfurt
    PSV
    Marseille
    Qarabağ
    Galatasaray

Knock yourself out Insidious. I was just trying to get the fixtures out quickly for those unable to watch the draw, though thinking about it they could have just followed some live text coverage of the draw. Ah well, I wasn't doing anything else at the time.

Appreciate it - and all good - I used to do "your team against" threads during the wait for a throw-in (usually Trent) or in the build-up to a corner or free-kick as they only took a few seconds - as you say, if you're not doing anything else!

Is A. Madrid at home? Why do we only have 3 home fixtures and 5 away? I saw that on that sky sports site as well. Must be a typo?

Not really arsed who or where we get teams at this stage. PSG qualified from I think 15th place and went on to win it.
It's a rubbish format were a computer picks the games ,all totally 'random', obviously.

If the prize for league positions only applies to the first knockout round this new format is actually wank.
All the usual suspects will meet up with each other come February.
It's worth prioritizing league matches over champions league matches. Every league match counts. If we lose to Real Madrid in this league phase it matters not a jot as long as we're better than 8 other teams

just do enough to get through and take it from there. No need to win all the games.. just do what is required to get into the knock out stages

It's not the winning or losing but the taking part that counts

Just for participating, each team will receive €18.6 million. On top of that, there are performance-based bonuses during the league phase: each win is worth an additional €2.1 million, while each draw earns €0.7 million.

At the conclusion of the eight games each team will play in the league phase, a final standings table will determine additional payouts. Depending on where a club finishes, it will receive an extra sum ranging from €0.7 million to €10 million.

Reaching the round of 16 comes with a reward of €11 million, which increases progressively with each stage. Advancing to the quarterfinals is worth €12.5 million, the semifinals €15 million, and the final €18.5 million. The team that wins the title will earn an additional €25 million bonus.

Adding up all performance-related bonuses and rewards for advancing through each round results in a massive sum. The club that wins the 2025–26 Champions League could earn up to €127 million (approximately $148 million).

And that doesn't include tv payments.

Interestingly a few teams will earn the same amount as their squads valuation.

I like the format in terms of playing more varied teams (despite playing both Madrid clubs again).

What I don't like is the massive difference in level between the some of teams in pot 3 and 4. The difference between Napoli and Bodo Glimt is ridiculous.

It makes from some very lopsided draws.

Atmosphere is not what you expect under the lights at L4… Such a lack of jeopardy in most games barring the last few…. It’s the beginning of the European super league - thinly disguised as the European Cup.

Yeah. The format doesn't seem to encourage you to come top. Liverpool got probably the hardest draw last year after winning all our games except the last (was it?). Where's the incentive? I think we've too much football saturation these days anyway. It's nice on a weeknight to have CL on but too many games just waters it down.
