I would say Bailey Peacock-Farrell (League one keeper) leaves way too much room to his right - at international level.. Like I said nice Free kick but it hardly had to be Szobozlai level to beat the man between the sticks.. Wall does jump obscuring his view a little but imo a top keeper stops that strike more often than not.

Or rather - a top keeper doesn't leave that amount of space.. It's a glaring gap when you look. - and you can only beat what's in front of you...Great skill by Wirtz to get it over the wall and below the bar....but again, unless you have top tier (Think Italy/Argentina etc) wall setup with players who know when to jump and when not to - that space is a gift

Yep and to be honest it wasn't the best positioning initially but he got back to the middle - and that was despite Szobozlai being miles out.

Raya was never stopping that even if he was closer to his right.. The ball hit the inside of the L shape between bar and goalpost.. he would have needed to be have been superman to get to the angle

I was lucky enough to be at that game.
One of the best players I've ever seen. Up there with Pele and Maradona in my eyes.
We were so lucky to have him playing for us.
