He's 29 in january............Originally posted by justme View PostHow do you know it was Slot who allowed Diaz to leave?? He has no say in transfers. when Bayern offered the club 70 million for a 29 year old. he was always going to be sold
So what? could've got a decent replacement at least on the wings
Slot has no say in tranfers???? Ok then.
By the looks of it he has no say in how the team is played or coached, also

Not sure he does miller. Slot is a coach. It’s clear to me he just puts out the best players from what he has at his disposal. This is the model the club has gone for to try and supplement for the premature loss of miracle worker of Jurgen Klopp.

I wonder wether he had any say in if we brought in a DM? Id say that's probably his decision rather than the recruitment team.
We all had concerns over too many changes and it's proving to be the case.
There's just to much flux in everything, his subs tonight just smacked of subs for subs sake. The defining moments in our lives are never planned.

Seems like we've been anti-DM for some unknown reason since Fabinho.Originally posted by teesred View PostI wonder wether he had any say in if we brought in a DM? Id say that's probably his decision rather than the recruitment team.

obvious to everyone what we needed, apart from the transfer team/Slot apparently.
as I said earlier today, if arsenal win it this season it's because they've got what they've needed in the positions they've needed simple as, and we've blown it.

Yeah that's a good point, I do think it's rather the fact there's been too much change in personell and Salah's form dropping off a cliff are the biggest issues though. We were absolutely dung in plenty of games last season where he pulled us out of the shit. That's just not happening, being doubled up on constantly and also just looking forlorn.Originally posted by miller0863 View PostOne thing I will say that no one else seems to mention, Johnny Heitinga left to go to Ajax.
We have looked a totally different team since….
It was always going to come to an end his amazing form, maybe it's happening quicker than we expected though? The defining moments in our lives are never planned.

100%. They brought in the quality where it was needed.Originally posted by Kev0909 View PostSeems like we've been anti-DM for some unknown reason since Fabinho.

We obviously brought in quality players but not necessarily where and what was required. Most of us shared the worry about not strengthening midfield. Today wasn't as bad as it's been the last few weeks I'd say but again we just lacked any semblance of composure even when in the ascendancy after scoring.
The way we just invited them on the last 20 mins or so was fucking ridiculous. The defining moments in our lives are never planned.

He is under pressure in a way. It's his first spell where it's not looking rosy.Originally posted by eggy81 View PostStarting to sound like a man under pressure.
After losing the league cup and going out of the CL people maybe asked a few questions but we managed to sustain our lead at the top so not really much pressure compared to now. Back then we looked a solid unit, were anything but right now.The defining moments in our lives are never planned.

well we did spend stupid money, to concede every week and look clueless, I mean it's not a great look.Originally posted by eggy81 View PostStarting to sound like a man under pressure.
Things should get better hopefully starting at home against Utd.
I just want us to be able to pass the ball again and look like we have a plan, and a team that can play good football, this is dogshit, honestly I see similiar to watching utd last season at times, just more quality players
Still clueless.Last edited by Kev0909; 4 October 2025, 08:21 PM.

I find the need to funnel every possession through Virgil infuriating at the moment. And he seems reluctant or unable to pass forward like in recent seasons. A myriad of problems to sort out at the moment. Team is flat as fuck too in general.Originally posted by teesred View PostHe is under pressure in a way. This playing out from the back has gone stale as fuck. Every team trys it and every team is wise to pressing from the front now.Originally posted by eggy81 View PostI find the need to funnel every possession through Virgil infuriating at the moment.
