The hope has to be they peak early, while we peak late (talking the Champion's League here) if we want to have a chance in the competition.

PSG got off to a s-l-o-w start last season but went onto win it.

Meanwhile we wiped the floor with the League stage but didn't get as far in the Tournament as we'd have liked.

Would love our European exploits this season to mirror PSG's of the last campaign, though we look a long way off it right now.

Just hope we're in the thing come February - picture will look a lot clearer for better or worse.

Says more about the league than it does against the player, You simply cannot compare the German league to the premier league. Gakpo as a very good record for an inside left player. if you take into consideration the rest of this league players.. dunno what more people expect.. Diaz over all output prior to last season was nothing special.. we got 70 million for a player whos almost 30.. we would have had to replace him soon anyway. cause his contract was running down. with having Ekitike and Rio (who the club didnt want being pushed right back in the pecking order)we have cover on the left.. Saying that we still need another forward.
