No need for a stadium. Go to the nearest football pitch and support your local team.Originally posted by Insidious View PostMuch appreciated miller.
Sincerely hope I can reach a stage where I could find a work-around to cope with the Stadium but hopefully one day a pint or two with a few lads on here as a more realistic target.

Ironically enough the thread wasn't set up with a view to creating much discussion, so how I can be dressing anything up as discussion when I'm not that bothered about it (for this particular thread) is a head-scratcher, but you're entitled to your opinion.Originally posted by JockStrap View PostThis is glory hunting dressed up as discussion.
I've had similar threads where it's a way for myself (and the forum by extension if they so wish) to have a shortcut to certain information, such as how close/far away we are from certain positions at any given stage of the season in terms of points, or appearances/minutes of certain players, depending on what the thread was at the time.
I don't go to Stadiums for health reasons.Originally posted by JockStrap View PostHere's a tip. Forget about 1st, 4th and the gaps between them and go support the team. You'll enjoy the game far more.
I won't be forgetting about the gaps between the teams, cheers. I thoroughly enjoy games as it is. If a day comes where I'm able to enjoy a Stadium visit I'll celebrate it, but following as I do is the status quo for the foreseeable, thanks.Your hobbies are rollerblading and you're also a bit of a rat-hound? You may have missed my point. If your issue is that you don't want to go to a stadium and be surrounded by people, then you don't need to. It can be enjoyable to go to a local pitch where 2 men and a dog cheer on the local team. No crowds, no stress. Just football.Originally posted by Insidious View PostIronically enough the thread wasn't set up with a view to creating much discussion, so how I can be dressing anything up as discussion when I'm not that bothered about it (for this particular thread) is a head-scratcher, but you're entitled to your opinion.

I have done that in the past as well, but my primary footballing interest from a very young age was Liverpool.Originally posted by JockStrap View PostYou may have missed my point. It's something I'd be keen to try and have always aspired to doing should I find myself in the City again.Originally posted by Martyboy View PostI'd be up for that...If you can all put up with a sheep shagger??...Warning...I don't speak welsh though but I do a half decent scouse accent.....
I'd likely need to step outside a fair amount amongst other small little coping mechanisms, but it's be cool to meet a few of you.Your hobbies are rollerblading and you're also a bit of a rat-hound? Steel Wool

I think the importance of that, within the contextual parameter of a quick-glance thread that passes short-hand comment on how close/far we are from a couple of positions is honestly a pretty trivial detail. It's as important and unimportant as anything else, like most casual chatter in an online forum.Originally posted by JockStrap View PostWhich gives you more satisfaction? Watching and rooting for a local team or posting about how many points we are from 4th place?
Conversation and observation are simply different pleasures - and not everything is done purely for pleasure's sake.
Besides - it's distance from first, 4th and the relegation spots - the distance from the Champion's League spots are simply one of 3 of the Barometers, so I see no need to isolate that one.Your hobbies are rollerblading and you're also a bit of a rat-hound? Steel Wool
