I'm not looking for a debate. Just wondering what a glory hunter is?

Sincerely hope I can reach a stage where I could find a work-around to cope with the Stadium but hopefully one day a pint or two with a few lads on here as a more realistic target.
No need for a stadium. Go to the nearest football pitch and support your local team.

Ironically enough the thread wasn't set up with a view to creating much discussion, so how I can be dressing anything up as discussion when I'm not that bothered about it (for this particular thread) is a head-scratcher, but you're entitled to your opinion.

I've had similar threads where it's a way for myself (and the forum by extension if they so wish) to have a shortcut to certain information, such as how close/far away we are from certain positions at any given stage of the season in terms of points, or appearances/minutes of certain players, depending on what the thread was at the time.

I don't go to Stadiums for health reasons.

I won't be forgetting about the gaps between the teams, cheers. I thoroughly enjoy games as it is. If a day comes where I'm able to enjoy a Stadium visit I'll celebrate it, but following as I do is the status quo for the foreseeable, thanks.

You may have missed my point. If your issue is that you don't want to go to a stadium and be surrounded by people, then you don't need to. It can be enjoyable to go to a local pitch where 2 men and a dog cheer on the local team. No crowds, no stress. Just football.

I have done that in the past as well, but my primary footballing interest from a very young age was Liverpool.

It's something I'd be keen to try and have always aspired to doing should I find myself in the City again.

I'd likely need to step outside a fair amount amongst other small little coping mechanisms, but it's be cool to meet a few of you.

Which gives you more satisfaction? Watching and rooting for a local team or posting about how many points we are from 4th place?

I think the importance of that, within the contextual parameter of a quick-glance thread that passes short-hand comment on how close/far we are from a couple of positions is honestly a pretty trivial detail. It's as important and unimportant as anything else, like most casual chatter in an online forum.

Conversation and observation are simply different pleasures - and not everything is done purely for pleasure's sake.

Besides - it's distance from first, 4th and the relegation spots - the distance from the Champion's League spots are simply one of 3 of the Barometers, so I see no need to isolate that one.
