Seems like it's probably already a done deal behind the scenes, hence Glasner leaving end of season- Carrick to take charge rest of the season only.Originally posted by redebreck View PostMan Uniturds reportedly interested in Glasner.
What's the obsession with 3 at the back for them ?

They should be rolling, but they won't be, at least not in the near future. It must be nice to work in a profession where you can screw up and either keep your job, or get moved on whilst being given a massive wedge of cash to console yourself with.Originally posted by redebreck View PostLooking forward to heads rolling in the near future.

And the youth setup....Originally posted by Steveo View PostA bald head rolls further and faster than most. Hughes and Edwards will likely dodge the bullet.
And........
And.........
do you think it's a well run club at the moment and forward thinking (Not talking about money, everything else)

I just feel like we're one step behind all the time, especially with transfers and squad planning.Originally posted by Steveo View PostHonestly I don’t know. I firmly believe the club relied so much on everything Jurgen brought - the philosophy - mentality and the work ethic… I would hope much of that remained… But the evidence is scant

Chelsea after a CB Rennes' 20-year-old defender Jeremy Jacquet is one of their main targets.
I get buying youth, but it's a bit over the top, no? a few quality proven players in a few positions they could be a real force.
Maybe i'll be wrong but if bournemouth sign Rayan I give it a few seasons until he moves to a bigger club.Last edited by Kev0909; 17 January 2026, 12:35 AM.

Virgil’s a bit of a Maldini though he has a few years left yetOriginally posted by Kev0909 View PostYep and having to count on 34 year old VVD and Konate.... whos future is up in the air...
It'll be same as this summer, too little to late... and look what happens, we've had years to plan for the future.. why do we always leave it until last minute ? why do we put ourselves in these situations?
It's not good enough, and you can't say that's a well run club, it's a farce.
Still can’t believe the mess Edwards Slot and Hughes have made of our transfers this season
Kerkez Guehi Frimpong No6 Semenyo Ekitike
Keep Diaz and Nunez
Let Gakpo, Elliott and Quansah go
Our front line and back line and midfield all sorted for a good 5 years, far greater strength in depth 433 winning the league again
We’d have spent 150m less too accounting for the No6
A front line of Diaz Ekitike Semenyo with Frimpong Salah and Nunez would have been awesome too
What the FUCK were they thinking they should all be sacked for this 65 million for Semenyo is less than the 30m we paid for Mane in today’s market"If Everton were playing at the bottom of my garden, i'd close the curtains”

Klopp net spending 16/17 to 19/20Originally posted by jozza800 View PostWhich ever way you see it, it strikes me as being very odd that they've gone from being penny pinchers to blowing their load in a single window.
LFC €93.35
Net spending Klopp 20/21 to 23/24
LFC €297.05
Net spending Slot 24/25 to 25/26
LFC €258.4
So let's round off the figures.
Klopps first four years of net spend.
€25 mill a season
Klopps second 4 years
€75 mill a season
Slots first 2 years
€125 million
When you consider inflation, greater CL revenue, the increase in spending isnt that much.
When you consider the Klopp outlook the succesful period of transfer spending was the
16/17 to 19/20.
This is also the most succesful era of LFC in modern times, or post 1990.
Of course the Klopp outlook arose from German football with fan ownership & cheap matchday tickets.
