Mac Allister has often been slow, ponderous on the ball, and unaware of what's going on around him. Those failings were previously offset somewhat by what he was positively contributing to the team. This season however he has like you say often been completely anonymous meaning that he has been more of a liability than an asset. Fabinho had his merits but he lacked discipline and let the press get broken far too often by having a rush of blood and leaving his man cost us quite a few times including in our last Champions League final, left Casemiro to go charging to a player Robbo had in hand, ball goes to Casemiro he left in acres, thrn to Valverde to cross to Vinicius Jnr with Benzema offside and Real score when if he stays with his man, none of that can happen
