According to Fabrizio Romano, we have identified Rennes centre back Jeremy Jacquet as a priority target and will sign him in the summer for €60m.

There is still some noise about Chelsea trying to hijack the deal. Hard for us to compete with 7 year contracts at 300k per week.

Anyways guess we're not too arsed about missing out on champions league football or why would we risk it, another injury at the back we're fucked also the club obviously doesn't fancy our chances in the champions league

I think if we sign him maybe confident of konate staying, and he's the season after next replacement for VVD, maybe we'll do similar for salah.. can't see us getting a left attacker and a right..... so I see gakpo starting still next season.

Well that's good I guess. guess he'll share minutes with VVD next season and be his replacement, so much for only wanting chelsea, hope he forms a partnership with Konate both french too koante could help him settle with Leoni breaking through also and a good cover

Now let's sort konates contract & focus on a few more positions between now and summer and get it done, no fucking about, i'm pleased about this because we've thought ahead for once,and not left everything till the summer.

I think we need to prepare ourselves for there being a massive disparity between what signings we need now and in the summer, and what business we actually end up doing.

Our owners still haven't learnt or they don't care that you need to keep refreshing a club's playing staff every season instead of waiting till things completely fall apart and then having a haphazard splurge hoping that some of those signings stick when chucked at the proverbial wall.

The likes of Gakpo, Konate and Salah have been infuriating a lot of us this season. That infuriation may reach new levels if we're still relying on them next season.
