Hughes and Edwards. I'd say that's one of the reasons why Klopp decided it was time to leave.

I was thinking the same.. you can question Slot's coaching. But Hughes and Edwards purchase the players. they are basically in control. I heard Slot wanted to keep Diaz. and we have been shit down the left.. so who's to blame for that? Not Slot.

        • Like I thought we wouldn’t sign anyone in this window, FOR NOW. So not shocked. Got no idea what our aim is for the rest of season. We’re not going to win the champions league and tough game against Brighton in Fa cup. Top 5 is a must end of.

Hughes and Edwards are responsible for the state of our squad. Slot is responsible for how that squad has been All three of them have been found wanting this season, as have some of our players.

Whilst I agree with you somewhat

the here and now, is looking out for ourselves in the future also, i'm dissapointed we didn't bring someone in NOW because we are risking it at the back, if it costs us a champions league place, and a good run in the champions league- it will be costing us NOW.

Hopefully this kid turns out boss but who knows, french league not much experience.. hopefully he'll be good enough to replace VVD in the future, don't get me wrong i'm happy we've signed him, but it also makes no sense not covering ourselves just incase, NOW.

we are playing a game of risk, once again.

Liverpool are reportedly making a last ditch effort to sign Ajax’s Youri Baas and PSV Eindhoven’s Ryan Flamingo
I mentioned Flamingo and asked if anyone seen him play, like the look of him but i've only seen youtube, seems a modern CB who can play DM, doubt he'll be at PSV for long.

What a joke that situation is. Liverpool and Villa are both out of order here I think, both could have backed down so that he gets game time. He's not going to the world cup because of it.

Not sure about him going to the World Cup. He would have had to have had the season of lifetime to be forcing his way in ahead of Rodgers, Bellingham and Foden. England are pretty stacked for attacking midfielders.

But he certainly deserves better than what has played out this season.

He'll never know unfortunately. Maybe unlikely to get in ahead of those you mentioned I guess but he'd come off the back off a title winning squad and player of the tournament in the summer do his hopes would have been high.
Clubs are out of order in situations like this where it's all about appearances or transfer fee politics that's stopping a player getting game time.

                        • The club are the ones to blame for agreeing such a shite agreement.

Apparently he could have gone to West Ham or RB Leipzig last summer.

The decision is ultimately with the player.

                              • Keep and eye on Rayan won’t be the first time we’ve passed up to buy a player for much more later, his finish for a debut goal was of the highest quality
