Yes that's the point I am making. I think Slot is making many many mistakes - but he has no choice really but to pick Konate because we have no choice at all. So Shite though Konate is - and he has never been great imo - but now while his form is in the toilet - he is being pushed out onto the pitch - where he simply cannot perform. 10 goals conceded from set pieces. I reckon that set piece coach is pretty shit like. Not one player on the back post for that third goal, saying that though should they even have to be told to do that.

For context, we conceded 9 in the entirety of last season's League campaign from set pieces.

Combination of the changing style in the League / sides finding our weakness / our own self-inflicted woes by not doing X, Y, Z properly in training is really stacking up.

Konate didn’t need to go to ground I agreed with Owen there wasn’t enough in it for VAR ti interfere

I think they have played their part too if they don’t stitches up v City things may have been different

Its not all on Slot. Recruitment team got it all wrong apart from Ekitike. Squad quality is worst than others. Screwed up the pay structure so have some players on much higher wages than others, playing as individual's, team chemistry is no more. Spine of the team have down tools. Club in complete mess, will takes years to sort this mess out.

You can't just pick out the one player that's playing well and say the rest of the transfers were wrong.

That's not how it works.

It's easy to be 100 % correct with hindsight.
