    Respectable scorelines of late.

They lost to Villa, but by just the one goal. They lost to Man City, but by just the one goal. They beat Chelsea by 2 goals. Now a draw against us.

Poor as they are, they certainly aren't Wolves. Ibou putting that challenge in today has likely robbed us of what I suspect would have been a 2-0 or 2-1 victory. It's done now anyway. Next game.

So Shite though Konate is - and he has never been great imo - but now while his form is in the toilet - he is being pushed out onto the pitch - where he simply cannot perform. Record revenues - a title won and we. dicked about on Guehi trying to be clever and steal him for a pittance...
We are agreeing so. 100% on Guehi, haggled over 5mil when even at that price it was a great price. Now we are reaping from that "shrewdness".

For context, we conceded 9 in the entirety of last season's League campaign from set pieces.

Combination of the changing style in the League / sides finding our weakness / our own self-inflicted woes by not doing X, Y, Z properly in training is really stacking up.

Sure, but we've now conceded 3 or more goals 7 times this season. 8 if you include the Charity Shield. Excuses are no good any more. Why are we conceding so much? Are the defence just genuinely awful, or is the formation not providing the protection. Or both? Either way, Slot's not sorting it out.

Fair. I'm just pointing out that his comments on this game are accurate.

            • Guehi wouldn’t fair well without pressure on the ball either

Konate didn’t need to go to ground I agreed with Owen there wasn’t enough in it for VAR ti interfere

I think they have played their part too if they don’t stitches up v City things may have been different

Now when they get involved and fuck with our shit we seem to fold

Gomez was piss poor when he came on too, his backing off let them stroll into our area for the pen, the second goal and a few corners

It’s on Slit though as sitting off rather than keep playing never works well for us and that’s what really jet thrn back in

Thrn we did it again after Szobo’s goal

Did we play quite well to very well?
I'm getting really fed up with his interview nonsense now.
To be fair he's not wrong. Up until the pen I thought the balance of the midfield was far better than the previous months. Jones took an active part in midfield compared to Mac recently and Grav wasn't charging forward at every opportunity.

Then we give away the most ridiculous pen and our collective arses fall out.

Slot compounds it by throwing a hodge podge of a defensive team to see out the last 5 mins.

Were we going to rely on an 18 year old? Really as cover for a senior CB????

                  • As for Gravenberch for that last corner turning his back. Not the 1st tme this year he has messed up defensively from corners. We looked scared to attack a ball.

We played very well. Most of the game really. Manager contrived to FOOK it up.. WTF... did he learn nothing last term about avoiding Endo at all costs...? Why bring off Hugo? He's on a hat trick and he was the main reason they wouldn't come out..?

                      WHO is he really?

Club in complete mess, will takes years to sort this mess out.
You can't just pick out the one player that's playing well and say the rest of the transfers were wrong.

                        That's not how it works.

It's easy to be 100 % correct with hindsight.

The game was getting away from us well before Endo.

                            • Absolutely not using it as an excuse for the dropped points, but not opening a new bloody thread just to ask - where did nine added minutes come from?

Felt like a 4-5 added minutes job for me.

Did the VAR checks and break-ups of play really add up to nine?

That was Gravenberch who turned his back in the ball.
