Absolutely. Credit where it's due. They were both immense. As was everyone else.Originally posted by eggy81 View PostHad a feeling we’d be up for that tonight. Great win under the pressure we were under. Szobo is becoming some player. Cbs very good too. Happy days after a week of turmoil for the lads. Hopefully carry a bit of form into Christmas now.

Not sure what the general feeling is but I think k robbo when fit is still a better lb than kerkez. I know he’s in decline and has made gaffs this season himself but he has more bite to him and a better grasp of what’s required with the other defenders. I hope he becomes first choice for a while and ease kerkez in a bit more. Fitness permitting of course.Originally posted by JockStrap View PostAbsolutely. Credit where it's due. No doubt about it. Robbo used to put in those performances every week. Age is catching up with him a bit. He could easily have another good season or two in him yet though.Originally posted by eggy81 View PostNot sure what the general feeling is but I think k robbo when fit is still a better lb than kerkez. Yep - and it’s so frustrating that we don’t see this more often as the lad has all the technical quality. He often takes too many touches but is well capable of a performance like that.
He was excellent last night in a setup Slot surely HAS to now look at with the players signed..?
It was a very encouraging win - but again xg 0.68 only skewed by that penalty. That will need to be addressed IF we are to win enough games

That was a lot better, shape, formation, passing, pressing, aggression where all back, might be called 4 4 2 diamond but it was the 3 man midfield that the players looked happier playing.
Ekitikie & isak maybe need time to form a partnership or might suit gapko further up as one of the 2 attackers.
One of the best performances on the night for me was slot,he had looked lost, out of his depth, clueless, broken a manager waiting for the axe to fall but last night he was in charge on the touchline not balling at the players but organising, instructing, encouriging,he was pulling the strings and the players where reacting, his substitutions where spot on.
Hands up last night he looked a top manager,i just hope the formation change wasnt forced on him and he doesnt revert back to 4 2 3 1.

Tactically your right. We can't use the same tactics against everyone. But the effort and energy levels last night were much improved. It looked to me that Grav was sitting more which also helped. As long as we keep those up we should be OK in the near term.Originally posted by JockStrap View PostDifferent games require different tactics. What worked against Inter away won't be what's needed against Brighton at home.
