Klopp's last 4 years were a classic symptom of the owners. Just as the last title defence was. Going into it with 1,5 reliable CB's.. Cashing in on a senior and failing to replace with ANYONE...!

The last 4 years of Klopp's reign saw Arsenal usurp us from a 43 point deficit.. Something that always got to me. All due imo to a refusal to back the best manager on the planet. And this is why he ran himself into the ground (this is why he ran out of energy) building a squad capable of remaining competitive. This is the entire point.. He did the best he could. Got a team with 4...count them...4 new mids plus an injury crisis unknown in its scale (13 seniors injured) into position in the later stages of the season for another quad.. Winning the League cup but falling short in Europe and the title as a result.


For a kick off Slot wins the title with the team Jurgen just built. The midfield that was the bedrock of last season was almost entirely made up of his brand new Midfield and Jones.. Who I suppose Slot was secretly coaching from Holland


One thing is for certain the Kop won't bee seeing jokestrap or 'our kev' anytime soon. And we will be the better for it.

It's the Slot era now. A chance for another manager to build a legacy. A manager who won the league in his 1st season. Yet a minority of the glory hunters can't seem to give him proper credit for that.

Tell us wise sage - IF - as you are alluding to - the squad was so brilliant - so deep and strong that it could win the title in Slots first season.. what then is the driving force behind the most frugal owners of any club in the top 6 breaking rank... and suddenly spending at record levels?
