If you're EVER unhappy about what's happening at the club just think how much worse it could be. We used to employ absolute weaponry like that.

I just had to look at what he's been doing since:

Arsenal have defended 55 set pieces and we were something like 85 I think which shows another aspect, we are giving away too many to start with and shows yet again that we aren't working as hard as last season in terms of distance and keeping possession.
It mentions that Slot sees set pieces as an "add on". Not as much of a priority to him personally I guess, other sides are having success with it though being a bit more creative in their attacking set pieces.
Any running stats to hand for the PL season to date ?

We’re not picking up proper pressing and counter pressing positions

We have too many players in space looking to receive a meaningless 5 yard ball in the middle, crowding ourselves out and making it easy to nick it and counter

We let an opposition mid receive it in space in the centre of the pitch behind all our mids receive it easy and transition easy and the player pass the ball easy

Watching Arsenal tonight were a million miles off a proper press and counter pressing positions and they’re not as good as we were at it under Jurgen or last season
Too 3 the top 3 in the press and counter press also it’s a fucking joke and the reason we’re conceding too many corners in the first place and goals from them and on the counter

It all stems from a change of formation and an emphasis of too many players looking to be in space to receive and play a nothing 5 yard pass to try and make Wirtz look a superstar instead of most players picking g up while also being well placed to join an attack if needed

It’s how Arsenal, Villa, PSG, City etc etc etc all play and how we used to

The game HAS changed and 4231 with no press or counter press and too many players looking to be in space instead of picking up WILL NOT be successful

There was an article on sky a few weeks ago regarding distance covered over 90 mins. We were third bottom in the league.

Well cheers for a link but it's not very detailed on running stats.

Take us 3rd bottom of the league for distance covered per 90.
                  Omg

3rd bottom LFC just over 96 km per 90 mins.

Cituae top for distance covered per 90.
Almost 104 km per 90 mins.

                  Arsenal 2nd say 103 km per 90.

                  Breaking down the stat..
You have 10 outfield players run 100 km in 90 minutes. Thats 10 km each.

Our 10 are running just over 9.6 km each.
Cituae run almost 10.4 km each.
                  Arsenal run 10.3 km each.

In the past covering sprints & high intensity running. Typically our lads do about 1 extra high intensity sprint each per 90 minutes.

Cituae/StokeMinor do a little more high intensity running than us. The 2nd highest level of running intensity.

They cover a couple of hundred metres more than us per game.
This is largely down to our higher intensity pressing style.
So 9.6km might not be that different to last season at all for us.

On this season, I've heard TAW cover some of our running stats and their suggestion is we are running as much as last year but not converting it to tackles & intercepts at the same rate.

He does a lot of running… well jogging as he has zero pace but little else.

You want to see what £100m should buy you for an attacking midfielder look at Cole Palmer or my personal favourite who we should have bought in the summer, Morgan Rogers. Two excellent goal against Man Utd again today and I’m supposed to be happy with a five yard assist as some sorry of proof we have a genius on our hands???

Naaah not for me, he ain’t gonna make it here.

Nah. Your opinions on Wirtz make you the biggest idiot on the Internet. I might be second.

Wirtz doing it at home against 2 point Wolves does NOT make him worth £100m.

He still has a lot to do.
