5 wins in 18.
The individual mistakes may not be on the manager, however, the coaching, the team selection and the motivation of the 11 on the pitch is 100% down to the manager.
He has also said he was heavily involved in who left and who came in during the summer window.
It’s a complete shambles and it’s on Slot, Hughes and Edwards.
Being out fought and out thought by a team missing several senior players on the back of selling all of their best players, must be an absolute low for the club.
Can’t beat Leeds, Sunderland, Burnley, Fulham and Bournemouth, coupled with absolutely appalling football, surely we know Slot can’t turn this around."I am the Normal One."

That's exactly it. It's very easy to shout get rid of Slot. But what comes next? What if Alonso comes in and the slump continues into next season. Bin him and bring in another?Originally posted by Kev0909 View PostDon't tihnk anyone can turn it around without big changes, and possibly big changes behind the scenes too.
Not defending him and maybe it would improve.. but it will be far from a magic fix.

I think the biggest concern for people is the whole rinse and repeat cycles. Great stats in possession and passes but ultimately it's not resulting in us making any progress.
There's no progress anywhere, conceding 3 in a game again, 2 points from.losing positions all season etc. It's all negative stats and there's nothing to suggest it will change from now to the end of the season.
This squad should be doing better than it is. 10 league wins from 23 games, 5 league wins since late September is awful reading.
The owners are in a rock and a hard place. The defining moments in our lives are never planned.

We have no pattern because Slot changed how we’d played for 10 yearsOriginally posted by miller0863 View PostWe have absolutely no pattern of play and create so few real chances it’s mind blowing.
Yesterday Bournemouth had 6 big chances to our 1.
Bournemouth 2.35 XG
Liverpool 0.93 XG
This is wrinkle and repeat every week. It’s not just down to individual errors."If Everton were playing at the bottom of my garden, i'd close the curtains”

I bet if he reverted to 433 and playing the right ball when it’s on we’d see huge improvement in a few games

If you're going out with someone and it's obvious that things aren't working, the relationship is going to end up being toxic if it isn't already, and as a result you are increasingly becoming a shell of the person you once were, what you don't do is continue going out with that person simply because you're not sure about whether you'll find anyone better, if indeed anyone at all.
Slot needs binning irrespective of whether or not there is currently an ideal replacement for him ready and waiting to take over the reins.

If Slot can't find a change of system, or inspire us to release the ball more quickly in key situations etc then we really ought to consider someone who can. The key thing is "if" - I'd love to see Slot turn it around, but it's currently looking increasingly questionable, which is a pity. He didn't "fluke" the League last season - it's 38 games (not saying that you said he did).Originally posted by teesred View PostThis squad should be doing better than it is. 10 league wins from 23 games, 5 league wins since late September is awful reading.

We need to be in the Champion's League and to be bringing in the money that comes with that. Do I look at this squad and feel that someone can get this squad to get more points per game than Slot? Right now the answer to that is "probably yes" and an Alonso-shaped shadow will certainly haunt the hallways of Chateau de Slot - though we do have a number of issues that aren't "quick fix" at the moment - but hopefully Slot can find a tweak or we can get a late January signing that lifts us.
We have managed to be where we are (one point off 4th as it stands) in the table despite our poor runs of form, so although I don't see a title challenge next season, we should absolutely be capable of finishing in the Top Four when you consider that Man United and Chelsea aren't yet perfect by any means, though Chelsea will be very strong in 2-3 seasons.
Hopefully a tweak can be found, then getting some pace into the attack sooner rather than later via an acquisition or two and a centre-back coming in can help this current lot out.
In coming seasons, with the almost £800k-per-week exiting the club (Salah and Van Dijk) there will be openings as well.
Might be a couple of seasons of Top Four before being where we "really" want to be, but nobody outside of Arsenal is an absolute points-Hoover right now, so we really ought to be able to consolidate, strengthen and go again.

They should have lined someone up in October
The filthy are holding their own v Arsenal doing the basics well, picking up pressing working hard, moving it quickly and directly forward in as few passes as possible - Sounds familiar
It’s what all Prem clubs do more or less
Again Slot just needs to revert to what works in the Prem and what worked for us in the Prem
He is very close to the exit let’s hope FAG don’t leave it too late to pull the trigger"If Everton were playing at the bottom of my garden, i'd close the curtains”
