          David Lynch analysis.
Makes good valid points saying we've been on a downward trend for a year and it started when teams worked us out. Newcastle id say was that start point. Also says he struggles to see how Slot convinces Hughes or Edwards that he has a case to stay.

We've been trending down for a year in almost every way. 9 wins from 26 games. 27 points from 78. How on earth has it got to that?

It genuinely makes you wonder how it took so long for us to get into this trend. Where we just lucky for the first 2/3 of last season coupled with Mo having an amazing season up to that point too?

Knowing what should be done means nothing if you're unwilling or unable to do it. It's liable that both of those things apply to FSG.

Ya but let's be realistic, klopp isn't coming back here. He left for a reason. Isn't coming back.

I bet he didn't say that Slot should be sacked. He along with one are two other YouTubers, Journo's and pundits are either part of the access media or on the club's payroll.

Steve Nicol refuses to lay into Slot, never mind say that he should be sacked despite what he knows should happen. He keeps harping on about Slot having won the league last season and that it had nothing to do with the remnants of Klopp's influence on the team.

                • I remember you had the sense last season that we were just about getting the wins. It wasn't very attractive but we got the points. We were helped by mo being on fire. We also had all of Jurgen's squad who knew what to do. You hoped that performance would improve.

As this season has gone on it seems more clear that slot was just lucky that everything was in place last season. We've lost a lot in terms of experience too this season which hasn't helped.
From the moment I picked your book up until I laid it down, I convulsed with laughter. Someday I intend on reading it. Groucho Marx

                  • Slot benefitted from what Klopp left behind, Gravenberch possibly having his one good season, Salah having a great two thirds of the season, and other teams not really being at the races. Some wanted to believe it was all down to Slot, but it became increasingly evident from the backend of last season that his impact was a lot less than some said or hoped it was.

                    • Mo was absolutely incredible up to January last season, winning several games virtually on his own. I particularly remember Newcastle away when he was outstanding only for a keeper error in the last seconds to cost us two points

                      • We’ve lost the same number of games as newly promoted Sunderland and 3 that’s three MORE games than Bournemouth!!!

                        Ffs that’s quite unbelievable

                        • Arne Slot managerial gradings out of 10 for this season so far:
Tactics 1 slow, boring and ineffective in the prem.
Results 2 some real shockers in there
Performances 2 believers have become doubters
Man management 0 as much charisma as a plank of wood

Feel free to add any other categorises in that I may have missed....

                          • Earlier I mentioned Steve Nicol possibly being on FSG's payroll and being unwilling to tell it like it is, namely that Slot should be sacked. In the video linked below both him and Hislop were talking bollocks, especially Nicol. Both say that Slot should start next season because of the credit he has, or should that be had in the bank.

Nicol says that nobody complained about the signings we made in the summer. He obviously took no notice of the many people that said that after years of neglect we needed at least one top quality CB and a top quality DM. Instead of doing that the club spunked £200m on a pair of forwards that want to play in the same position, and those in charge of transfers screwed up the Guehi deal in not one, but two transfer windows.

Nicol ignores everything that suggests Slot isn't up to the task and that he benefitted from Klopp's legacy, but he grasps at anything to try and excuse Slot no matter how ludicrous it is. You know he's talking crap by how defensive he gets towards the end of the video.

Lost 10 - 8 lost by a single goal and 5 lost to an injury time goal, we could be comfortably in top 4. Frustrating.

                              • We’ve just played Wolves, Spurs and Brighton, been second best in all 3 and gained one point. That’s far more than frustrating
