It's a very strange take but it is the title of the thread that your mate started.

Let’s be Über clear: I was never a 'Blairite.' Like millions of others, I was happy to see a Tory government fall and hoped for a better society. Nobody had a crystal ball. But bringing up politics from decades ago proves you have no actual argument regarding football. It is a desperate distraction.

It has zero bearing on Luis Diaz. Your ridiculous attempt to support a clear PR offensive by the owners to justify his departure is transparent. You are swallowing the club's briefing hook, line, and sinker.

That you continue to double down on this simply highlights your everlasting support not for the club, but for the balance sheet. You refuse to accept the reality that Diaz was pushed out for financial reasons and are choosing to push this Daily Express-style fan fiction instead.

      carry on
I've given your own words on just how savvy Team Diaz PR are.

I've given the media shitstorm around Jotas death, mourning & funeral caused by PR savvy Diaz.

He moved to Bayern shortly thereafter and got
"the desired outcome of a transfer and a massive pay bump"... to quote Steveo

I've pointed out the logical conclusion.
You run away talking absolute bollocks.

      No integrity, no substance.

You really are dim aren’t you,

You can point out whatever you like. . If it carries no weight, it’s worthless. You do realise this?

Once again… for the simpleton. PR is utilised by clubs and agents on a daily basis. Diaz’s agent saved face AFTER Liverpool FC refused him a new contract worthy of the name. They weren’t going to match what Gakpo was taking home.. And that is ridiculous. All the language from Diaz was that of a player wanting to stay. David Fairclough a lad born a few feet from the ground expressed his confusion as to WHY Liverpool sold him. Sturridge has too as have many other ms not connected to the club.

I have given you the most plausible scenario. Both Virgil and Mo’s contracts are agreed at the cost of Diaz’s sale.

It’s beyond simple - you refuse to it accept as you do most of reality - nothing changes…

It would be dangerous if anyone took you seriously - luckily nobody with any intellect at all does.

Yes - please examine it and deploy both brain cells on it. As I have repeatedly asked you to do with the other quote about Arteta overtaking Klopp.

"the desired outcome of a transfer and a massive pay bump"... this is what he got after Liverpool refused to offer him the contract he sought,

Stop the spin mate... it’s getting desperate.

You claim his team are "PR savvy" yet you seem to think their grand masterplan was to deliberately create a shitstorm over a funeral?
                Behave.

That would be rank amateur stuff... you don't secure a move to a club like Bayern by painting yourself as a toxic. If they were that savvy... they wouldn' have walked into a PR nightmare like that.

The reality is boring and paints a less than stellar picture of the owners you so love - so you ignore it. The "desired outcome" happened because he was on peanuts compared to colleagues ... and we refused to pay him. The PR script came after the fact - and it came to smooth the exit.

You’re seeing bullshits and conspiracies where there ain’t any... simply to avoid admitting the club just wanted to cash in.

                this is you

I've said it would be logical to assume that a pr savvy Diaz knew exactly what he was doing around Jotas death, shortly before his move to bayern manifested..

                      @ CD

not that I am condoning Diaz - I think he was ungrateful to h club that helped him and his family. But from a selfish Liverpool fan perspective - we need him,

I think his statement on why he moved on, while outwardly positive, perfectly illustrates the art of the transfer PR script—and the careful reasons why the real issues are never mentioned.

Why the Narrative is Always "New Challenge"
The reasons Díaz gave “new challenge" and being attracted to "the project they were building at Bayern" are the safest, most professional pieces of PR. The very absence of "sour grapes" or talk of money confirms the success of his strategy.

Immediate Goodwill is Paramount: Díaz's primary goal is to start his career at Bayern on the best possible footing. By talking up the "project," he instantly validates the ambition of his new club and gives the fans a positive narrative to rally behind. A warm welcome is crucial, and it buys him time if his on-pitch start is slow.

Maintaining a Clean Professional Image: If the true reason was a falling out with a manager or disappointment with Liverpool's strict wage structure (which is almost certainly a core factor), publicly revealing that paints him as a disruptive "problem player." Sticking to the language of "ambition" keeps his reputation immaculate for every club in the future.

His Agent's Calculation: His representatives are focused on future business. Burning bridges with a giant like Liverpool by citing "disappointing wage offers" is bad for their relationship with all major clubs. The narrative of challenging himself, especially coming from a humble background, is relatable and impossible for either set of fans to criticize.

In short, his statement is designed to be unimpeachable while still achieving the desired outcome of a transfer and a massive pay bump. He gave the public the story they are required to hear.

Well said, there's not a better bromance on here, love is in the air.

Luckily I don't have to see them both spam every thread with utter rubbish and stevo looking for arguments after every post, I and others make, it's nice to be able to talk to people that can accept others opinions and debate about it, instead of spamming the same stuff (19x)mainly thinking he'll change your mind

Pretty funny really as i've disagreed with you and jockstrap in the past, but i've been groomed, groomed I tell you ,jockstap is my sugardaddy.

I fucking wish, could do with some more money.

                              Bless em.

What I don't get is how stupid is the ignore button? when you can see when people quote there posts, a bit pointless really, it should hide threads made and quotes imo, but we're in the 1980s.

You dont have to reply to everything, but its such a small/quaint place with a fair few lurkers, you may as well see what people are saying.
