Lovely pass from Grav to set him up.

Great finish he was very physical today we were looking to play into him and supporting the ball with a run, did well at it

French Nando is a treat to watch when he shifts the ball from foot to foot.

Hopefully we can manage his minutes appropriately to keep him fresh and injury-free until the end of the season and fingers crossed he can get the winner in a key game in the Champion's League.

I’d like him to get the development Nunez should have had have him able to move through No9 LFWD and false 9

Nunez was actually better at LFWD for me than he was at No9

Ekitike dropping off some games getting hold of it spreading it wide and getting in the box with be a treat too

There was a bit of rotation today, like to leave him up and see him pull onto LB for the long diagonal at times too

Quiet game again. He's just not getting the service without Wirtz in the team. Mo and Gakpo are providing nothing for him.

He's spending half of his day fasting.

Are you saying he shouldn't be playing then?

No. Him and Ibou and Mo..it must affect them, their energy levels. If we had a bigger injury free squad I might rest him more, rotate more. But needs must. He was quiet, but maybe only needs a moment to score.
                    Just saying it's a factor.

He had zero support. Neither wingers did anything, The game absolutely passed Mac by and Szoboslai was asked to play as the deepest midfielder.

It's a combination of a poor tactical set up and players playing so poorly.

When Wirtz is on the pitch Ekitike comes alive. That can't be tactical.

He was played v 3 CBs should have moved him to LFWD & used a false 9 proven method against back 5’s

Hugo has been overly hyped being the one bright spark at times

But it’s a result of Slot’s changes and attempt to play Dutch football in the prem and misplaced belief in Gakpo

We need two wide forwards in the summer he bought 2 No9’s and Wirtz instead of

Wide forwards supported by full backs have always been the key to unlocking low blocks and back 5’s you need top quality in both

That's true, but if you don't have a certain player available you have to adapt the tactic. Mac was deployed as some sort of sudo-10 last night and it did not work.

We could have played the wingers narrower or Szoboslai in his more natural 10 position.

It's fine playing Big Sam's way when you've got Kevin Davies up top, not so much if you've got Gianfranco Zola.

That’s not always true at all he’s assisted 3

The issue is and it’s a major one we’re no longer creating the tingles between full back midfielder and wide forward to work the space and release one of the 3 or tee the midfielder or full back up to cross from deep having opened the channel

If you watch enough games of other teams this is the most frequent way of getting goals against all comers including low blocks and back fives
