On the FFP, interesting piece from the Guardian today....
    https://www.theguardian.com/football/2026/feb/06/premier-league-charges-manchester-city-three-years-latest
They are trying to kill it with the passing of time. Someone needs the cajones to finalize and charge accordingly.

No chance I could get tickets for City - unless I want to remortgage my house.

Interesting article. You'd think everyone who follows the Premier League wants to see some kind of resolution.
I tend to agree there will be a compromise.
Man City could potentially afford to pay billions in fines if it came down to it.
How much longer will we have to wait?
There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief

Oh - and had Klopp been backed with better than 6th across his tenure we would have easily won more titles and European cups too.

            The cheek of you

Let's establish some basic time periods for FSG & Klopp in terms of transfer spending.

FSG took over in October 2010.
So we'll say summer 2011 spending onwards.

Over the FSG era LFC ranked 5th for net spending in the league.
            €869.99 million net.

            https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/einnahmenausgaben/wettbewerb/GB1/plus/0?ids=a&sa=&saison_id=2011&saison_id_bis=2025&nat= &pos=&altersklasse=&w_s=&leihe=&intern=0

Klopp took over in October 2015.
So we'll say summer 2016 spending up to the end of 23/24 season.

Over the Klopp era LFC ranked 9th for net spending in the league.
            €390.4 million net

            https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/einnahmenausgaben/wettbewerb/GB1/plus/0?ids=a&sa=&saison_id=2016&saison_id_bis=2023&nat= &pos=&altersklasse=&w_s=&leihe=&intern=0

2011/12 to 2015/16 LFC ranked 3rd for net spending in the league.

2024/25 to 2025/26 LFC ranked 5th for net spending in the league.

So under FSG... LFC are 5th for net spending in the PL.

            3rd prior to Klopp
            9th with Klopp
            5th after Klopp

It's no surprise net spending reduced on Klopps arrival.

            https://tomkinstimes.com/2015/11/klopp-reversing-the-laws-of-gravity/

Or as G.nev might say, Klopp ruined LFC :●

You could never get them with Jurgen in charge

maybe we can all play out like the olden days and hold hands round a camp fire, whatever makes finishing 6th better

One Hell of a six-pointer this.

Lose and the Champion's League spots look in serious, serious doubt.

Win and we are 5 points off 2nd spot and therefore right in the mix.

We needed to change manager in October the two teams who have moved ahead of us have done so by appointing new managers who set up and play to their players strengths

Slot set up not to, changed up under pressure, we improved for a fame here and there, then just obstinately kept returning to his Dutch football fantasy
