Lovely to see Kerkez have a great performance, Szoboszlai thunder one in, Alisson look more like the World's best, Rio show quality (cursed flag!) and see lads like Mac Allister and Salah step our of their own shadows into the light of performances of old.

Get Gomez on ice and Green Tea so he can be a rotation option for centre-back and right-back for the rest of the season please (another injury inevitable ) and continue to believe in ourselves.

Good performances from Kerkez, Jones, Salah and as usual Szoboszlai.

The second goal was an absolute beaut, lovely assist from Mo who had probably his best game of the season

His best moment unfortunately came to nought when he did well to create the chance for Rio who planted his shot across the keeper into the far corner only to have his goal wrongly ruled out for offside

But the over all team performance wasn’t as impressive as you may think from looking at those scores. Brighton had too many chances and indeed had more attempts than we did.

Salah won a soft penalty, he gets fouled much worse in PL. He played better and was furthest forward on average by a good bit.

Gakpo had a headed goal ruled out for offside
He assisted Rio but that was ruled offside and it looked on. Cracking finish from Rio.

Chiesa struggled more than most.

Brighton had some chances,, notably when Jones slipped to let them clean through. Alisson had a dodgy moment where one of his clearances got blocked and could have gone anywhere.

Salah was ok. A sublime assist and won/scored a penalty. Better but nowhere near his best. Chiesa might as well not have been on the pitch.

Kerkez was easily MOTM.

Agree,hate all these rumours popping up of "his dream move is real madrid"and he wants a massive pay rise.
Dont know much about his personality and aims in football to dismiss them,would he make a good captain?

We were in the Anfield Road End 19… Posh seats - Brodies and sweet AM5 seats right behind the goal - just above the very cheeky Brighton fans.

First half - Brighton could and probably should have gone ahead. We were nervous and they played some nice football.
The Goal for Jones flipped the game really and it was no coincidence Miloš got the wonderful assist.. the atmosphere changed - great timing for the goal just before HT put bun in the players. Second half and we saw something more like the Liverpool we have become used to for most of the last decade. Belief - and the ability to actually finish.

2 disallowed goals. Rio’s was superb..

Cody did ok from a low bar of expectation. Still has one move.

Rio looked a real threat when he came on.. He seemed to link up well with Hugo in moments. Could be something to watch going forward.
