It's genuinely baffling how some of these ex pros end up in commentary. Some of their grammar is appalling, they can't even speak properly. Phrases like "when we was" and "look what he done there".

If you're going to be on TV in a speaking role you'd think there would be some basic pre requisites involved.

My biggest pet peeve is when they pluralise things nonsensically, as follows -

"Yeah you have your Man Uniteds, your Liverpools, your Chelseas and your West Hams" or "he would remind me of your Rooneys or your Gerrards or your De Bruynes"

Yep he does but he’s not what we are really lacking and that’s a proper 6 with a bit more to his game, rather than a good ball player that “can do a job at 6”.

He has a lot more to his game but will need minutes to develop, he’s very astute positionally and no shirker in the tackle and showed in Tuesday he’s vet good in tight space too, I though it was Grav at first

Yeah was the same under Klopp obvious to everyone apart from FSG & Transfer team apparently.
