Now imagine what klopp could have done with the almost £250m wirtz and isak cost.Originally posted by KingCanny View PostKerkez,Wirtz,Ekitike,Isak....imagine these players under klopp. These were good players before Slotball. Klopp would have got that little bit extra from them. Look how the mainstays & Legends have dropped off. One man....exactly
We'd have a team to challenge for another few yrs.

Very true. Couldn't see Klopp spending that on them. For one thing, Klopp always prioritised attitude in his players. Isak doesn't fit the bill by all accounts. With Wirtz, I don't see Klopp shelling out that much. I think he'll be a great player somewhere (maybe even with us) but just don't see how he fits in our team right now. What Klopp could have got for that money - we would have got about 5 solid players at least!!Originally posted by miller0863 View PostHe wouldn’t have bought those two for a startFrom the moment I picked your book up until I laid it down, I convulsed with laughter. You can't bemoan the lack of funds Klopp was given and at the same time say he'd have opted for the frugal approach had he had the money.
There's no doubt Klopp would have got far more out of this side than Arne. I think Klopp would have loved to have had Wirtz and Isak. Both quality players. He'd have definitely have loved the energy that Kerkez and Ekitike bring to the table!
While Klopp wasn't a master tactician (although an underrated one) he'd have had round pegs in round holes. Whatever the system he would have needed to fit these players in, it would have at least been a balanced one.Something, Something, Something, Dark Side

The only time Klopp had big money was when we got VVD and Alisson which were both bang on the money. Throughout his time, he didn't get many transfers wrong. Keita and maybe Ox would be the only ones that spring to mind and that was because Ox was never fit so hard to foresee. I just wouldn't see Klopp putting so many eggs in two baskets. VVD and Alisson were the finishing touches to an already very good team.Originally posted by jozza800 View PostYou can't bemoan the lack of funds Klopp was given and at the same time say he'd have opted for the frugal approach had he had the money.

We've made shite teams look half decent
Yep shocking...I had a bet with one of my friend's lads that we'd easily finish higher than Utd(his team) going on what happened last season.....I'm a feckin tenner light sadly...
