Laura Muir bottles the 1500m final, finishes 5th, but laughs and smiles in her interview. I'd be mega peed off.

Martin Rooney (who has been finished for years) dies in the home straight/fudges up the anchor leg in the 4x400m once more and GB look to have missed out on the final ......... however, Botswana get disqualified and GB get a huge slice of luck and sneak into the final. If Rooney runs again we'll certainly not be near a medal.

The Yanks win another gold by 1cm in the shot put final. They should have been disqualified in the 4x100m but got a reprieve. I bet they beat us/GB (the reigning champions) in the final. Drug taking, arrogant SOB's.

I don't know. I can't seen to find out what happened. It's likely to be due to either running out of their lane at the wrong time or pushing someone. Whatever it was GB will have to improve a fair bit to really make the most of the reprieve.

..the men's 4 x 400 dropped the baton in the final.
..women finished 4th, promoted to 3rd when Jamaica disqualified, but Jamaica appealed and regained 3rd.

The women did ok considering, but the men have regressed quite badly. Hopefully we'll do ok in the sprint relays in Tokyo, but I can't see us being a contender in the men's 4x400m. We need to find out if Roger Black's and Kris Akabusi's kids are any good. Hopefully we're not going back to the bad old days where we kept fudging up the baton changes.
