If true, that would be £400m in two windows. How is that possible without breaching financial rules again 115 FC?
Manchester City are planning a £180m double deal for Bayer Leverkusen's Germany winger Florian Wirtz, 22, and AC Milan and the Netherlands midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, 26. (Mirror)
Man City are very good when it comes number manipulation. It's still being reported that Man City are one of the most popular, highest earning, most shirt selling clubs in the world, contrary to things that say otherwise such as them only yesterday finally selling the last of their FA cup
Final ticket allocation.
They have also 'somehow' managed to get in sizeable fees for players that have rarely if ever played for them, players that most Man City fans couldn't even name.
The weird thing is. Man-city have kept their financial income-out come from the PL for at least 7 years quiet . Only they know whats going on with their own finances. They seem to think they are law unto themselves.. Only team in 92 team pyramid of the top 4 divisions.
Cleaning up the Scots since the 13th century
They sell more shirts than everyone else![]()
Joking aside, it's wild - and unfortunately it's human nature to become tired of a story, so Joe Public isn't pushing as hard for them to be exposed as could be, same with some of the other clubs who are (or have been) basically State-backed.
It's only a few seasons ago that we have articles about PSG being in a Champion's League Final being seen as a "new low" for football -
https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/european/psg-champions-league-final-qatar-paris-saint-germain-a9677466.html
- and now we have a big clamour of "hope PSG win the Champion's League because Luis Enrique has suffered personal tragedy in recent years and they play hard-working football" - it's quite the turnaround.
Or indeed the flip from people highlighting the hypocrisy of Newcastle's LGBT group being silent on an ownership group that would happily behead homosexuals to "ach, little old Newcastle deserve a trophy" - people just don't really care enough (sad) to be pushing these agendas to a higher degree and of course certain journalists (and channels) are either afraid to talk about it, or have already been bought.
Ideally Man City's situation for example should be the ONLY topic on things like Monday Night Football on Sky until something is done, but we know it won't work that way.
Pep's a genius and stuff, innit.
