Fun fact - Frimpong doesn't speak Dutch - English was the main language in his household.

I'm excited about the prospect of him joining, really excited - but he or Slot will have to adjust a fair bit. He's definitely a better fit for Klopp's side than Slot's - the build-up/possession phase is going to change, or Frimpong will.

Will be an excellent signing if it happens. Our history under FSG of £35m (or so) signings is really good so long may that trend continue!

and Gyökeres are seemingly joining Arsenal, Huijsen will probably join Madrid or Chelsea, whilst something will happen to Kerkez to stop him joining and we'll end up buying Ait-Nouri.
    Hmmmm….

Indeed, TEAMtalk exclusively first broke the news back in September last year that the man at the top of their left-back wishlist was Kerkez. And after a brilliant season for Andoni Iraola’s side, a move to bring the Hungarian to Anfield has gathered serious pace in recent weeks.

And on Monday, the prospect of a move to Anfield for Kerkez was also talked up by The Times journalist, Jonathan Northcroft.

However, Liverpool FC writer David Lynch insists the Reds are yet to fully decide on the identity of their next left-back and claims that a late deal for Wolves star Ait-Nouri cannot be ruled out.

“I still feel like left-back’s up for debate,” he told Anfield Index. “I don’t think you can hang your hat on anyone. I’ve always felt Ait Nouri is still in the mix, I don’t think it’s been ruled out just yet.

“The fact he’s changing agency amid talks that Wolves want to tie him down to a new contract sort of rings alarm bells for me in terms of there’s a real possibility that they accept they’ll have to do a deal for him if he doesn’t sign.”

Tomas Araujo, Benfica CB defender. Anyone seen him play?
Linked with him today amid reports that Konate might be shipped out if he doesn't agree a new deal.

That is a really interesting link actually as he has played at right-back a fair bit this season.

If we happened to go for him AND Frimpong (doubt it) then it would suggest that Frimpong might, eventually, be a part of the life-after-Salah plan.

Life after Van Dijk and Salah will be a big adjustment so future-proofing both positions within the next 2 seasons is massive.

Didn't Koeman leave him out of he Dutch squad saying that he was essentially a winger rather than a fullback?

As good a player as he is, I just dont see how he fits in the side.

He was only even going there as soon as they came in. No brainer really. Back home and at the biggest club.
