    If not we are screwed.
We should be pushing on with this. The bid was accepted on thursday. Why are we waiting for Chelsea? He hasn't even done a medical, i believe?

We should be telling Brighton best of luck and getting other deals done. I'd assume we are doing something in the background, and once something is in place we walk away from Brighton.

Jurgen would no doubt flog him to pieces as we know he loves relying on a handful of players to be beasted 2 games a week for a season.
if they sign caicedo gives them a chance to do very well in the league, and Lavia for that matter.

Still feel they lack a top striker unless that jackson does wonders, the other guy is injured for like 5 months already who they signed

top4 will be harder than last season and .... this window is a shambles

Yeah at that absurd price no thanks. One prem season under his belt? I’ll take Lavia and a backup CB anyday.

Unless we bid again just for the craic.

8-9 year contract according to Romano.

But yeah, imagine Lavia and a back up centre back who can step up, FSG can keep the change.

We're really rigid (to a fault at times) about not going for lads who are over our evaluation for them.

Again, that's value, not just cost. Wouldn't be surprised if we go for a totally alternative target, ie NOT Lavia and perhaps look to bring Andre from Fluminese in January.

What a pity the club even approached Brighton on the first place.

Just hope we go quietly about our business and sign Lavia and a young 23 year ish old CB

Yep you're probably right, but god knows who. I see Tyler Adams is out for a few months, which is reportedly why Chelsea backed out of that one. Perhaps we will even try to wing it until January.

Nobody comes out of this looking good, not even Brighton, it's just differing degrees of embarrassing.

Made Chelsea overpay by about 25m at least. He was likely to sign for 90ish before we jumped in.
