    Doesn’t like the facts.

I suggest you confront this - which I put to you before - but which you have conveniently sidestepped
The new owners inherited Torres, who funded Suarez & Carroll, and Coutinho was bought with the Suarez & Carroll money. The groundwork for these transfers laid by Rafa. A little allowance given here.

The new owners have net spent far more than the old owners, gross spend too.
When discussing real Madrid recently enough, we have exceeded their net spend under FSG. Prior to FSG their net spend about a billion greater since 2000.

The real question for Rafa, would be, under FSG how do you think you'd fare compared with G&H.

Rafa did point to the capacity difference between us and OT. That gap has been reduced which will benefit the finances. Even got some corporate boxes like OT, bringing in bigger money.

It is interesting how rafa talks about city & cfc spending their owners money and not needing to be run like a business.

It is a pity Rafa didn't hit on that absurdity. That LFC & United sponsor the other PL teams with the money LFC & United bring into the game. They are forced to share under PL rules, even with clubs whose owners break the rules persistently & maliciously when it comes to spending & finances.

Why by a traditional big club, when you can buy a small club, have the big clubs support you financially then have the football authorities ignore your cheating.

Yes - it is strange. You would think he would be glowing about the “new owners” Surely many former managers in his place would try to say that he rued the fact he didn’t get to work under such wonderful owners.

He does far closer to the opposite. Which imo is hugely telling.

I am almost certain Rafa - a red through and through BTW - loves the club so much that he wants to apply pressure on them to loosen the strings and give the manager the chance to take “more risks” (Jurgen Klopp).

My thoughts are that he feels Jurgen was let down by them. Which fits my own belief.

Would Rafa have done better with F$G… arya the Moores/Parry - H&G mess..? Great question…

Had he inherited a team that had so recently been CL winners and more recently finalists..That had so recently - just over a year prior been rated as the best in Europe and within a couple of points of the title..?

Who knows. But Rafa laid plenty of foundations that were still in place to a degree - when the new owners waltzed in. Would we not have to take that away to judge? Tricky.

Luckily there's a thread where you can discuss Rafa's interview https://forums.lfconline.co.uk/showthread.php?310539-Rafa-amp-some-sky-guys. Please keep that discussion in the proper thread.

Rafa inherited the bones of a 2001 treble winning side from Ged and the side Klopp inherited wasn't exactly the 08/09 side. Rodgers did nearly win the league in 13/14.

I think if you listen to his criticism of the former owners, he said Moores/Parry were better to work under than G&H.
When he talks about the financial gap from the stadium that has been reduced.
When he talks about owners pulling away from his business plan, aka spending allowances. There's scant evidence of that under fsg in the same manner.

Based on last seasons stats, we concede first in one of our 2 openers.
These 2 clean sheets are something Slot has achieved with same squad you've argued was run into the ground under Klopp.
It is more a 4213 setup 4231 than under Klopp and that double pivot of sorts is providing better defensive structure.
I believe we have the lowest xgconceded in the league, granted it is early days and quality of opposition need to be considered. Saying that last year, it didn't take a high quality opponent to score first.

I firmly believe Rafa wins us the league with Klopps squad last year. Klopp is still the best LFC manager of my lifetime, but Rafa ain't far off.

The point about Chelsea & City benefiting from cheating, shouldn't be ignored. These same authorities force LFC & Manu to share money in ways la liga does not, which causes the parachute payments and they then enable cheating by other clubs.

Why buy a big club? If you are where NESV were - and a global behemoth is down at 1/2 price with a global fan base that dwarfs all your other franchises. In a sport where club values are massively rising inline with hugely inflating TV revenues and sponsorships - I think the answer is obvious.

Henry and co cannot use the collateral of say Brighton in the same way they can Liverpool FC.

By buying into this club they bought a huge slice of football history too. The legacy of the club. No coincidence that far and away the 3 biggest clubs are all in US owners hands

Remember the old truism; what's the best way to make a small fortune from owning a football club? Start off with a large fortune!

The sale was open to everyone but not many were lining up to buy football clubs. FSG saw an opportunity and took it. Imagine that. Spending 300m and wanting to make money on your investment.

Not that it matters. You wouldn't be happy with no matter who the owner is.

Chelsea haven’t been found to be cheating - nor have City as yet. In the case of Chelsea the owner spent the money necessary to overhaul United. What they are doing now does seem hugely suspicious but they are US fronted so I expect very little to emerge.

5 times Ferguson broke the British Transfer record but nobody mentions that. It’s more convenient for those defending our owners to point to City and Chelsea and make the cheat claim BUT they are just claims at this time. Money talks - especially when you have the right man in the dugout.

For the shil-bot…. I think seeing as this thread is Exclusively for discussing “attacking output” 😜.

I suggest that the link back is easy - when discussing what Rafa said about the “new owners” being lucky with the money captured - as it begins and ends with those 3 wonderful attacking players and the funds they generated.

Lfc & Manu are forced to bankroll clubs that cheated the league. That is PL fairness at play. Many lfc fans on here even are against those cheaters losing their titles. City winning the CL in a year Uefa had banned them.

Jwh net spend pretty equivalent to Romans net spend at Chelsea, do you want to guess who's called a great owner and whose called wrinkle dick.
I wonder if a billionaire like Roman ever used his wealth to attain more wealth...
