I don't mind to admit that I have a soft spot for Mourinho. Would I want him as Liverpool manager - no, would I want to watch his brand of football every week - absolutely not but I would certainly go out to bat for him and his team.

I can certainly see why Fergie would take issue with him.

Yep - it is absolutely possible that Fergie just hated that style too. But I sense it was more to do with him wanting to be the one and only.

Kind of - ‘see’… you’re nothing without me.

It might just be my own prejudice built up over so many years of loathing their relentless success under him.

Good job too

It’s been a retirement home ever since
Yeah, until the end when the players joined the media they were hard to beat, even if not a good watch.
Also one of the few managers post match interviews worth watching.

I'm hoping for another couple of seasons with no CL.

Also I thought Amorim decided he didn't want to leave...or was there more to it and we just didn't really want him that bad? Hard to judge as it seems similar to players we enter talks with and eventually miss out on.

It was suggested his style was too different from Klopp's and we seem to have hit gold with Arne's slower changes approach.
Still, Can't wait for the world's largest flip flop brain football support to anoint him the Utd saviour. Just moths after not rating Amorim when he was linked to us.

Didn't Amorim try to fuck us over by meeting with West Ham while in talks with us? or something?

He met with West Ham (or was linked to doing so) to try and show that he had other options, to presumably twist our arm a bit.

We got Slot obviously and many of us have zero regrets.

I still think it would be a huge mistake (for Amorim) to go to Man United right now.
