This is the thing that 'concerns' me with Slot. He's hardly rotated at all so far. I just hope it doesn't come back to bite us.

    Kelleher
    Trent - Quansah - Nallo - Norris
    Elliot - Endo - Mac
    Chiesa - Nunez - Gakpo

Previous talk of quadruples etc. what a load of old bollocks. There's a possibility of the league this year but the squad does not match Chelsea's. Bin this one. If not for the sake of Southampton match people start getting keen at semi stage. We are not good enough for fighting too many fronts.

Squad in first round against West Ham..

Liverpool: Kelleher, Gomez, Endo, Nunez, Chiesa, Jones, Gakpo, Jota, Tsimikas, Quansah, Bradley.

Subs: Jaros, Van Dijk, Diaz, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Salah, Robertson, Alexander-Arnold, Morton.

    Squad previous round against Brighton…

Liverpool: Jaros, Gomez, Endo, Diaz, Szoboszlai, Jones, Gakpo, Robertson, Quansah, Morton, Bradley.

Subs: Kelleher, Van Dijk, Konate, Nunez, Mac Allister, Salah, Tsimikas, Young, Nyoni.

I think we can safely say Arne is going to be consistent with his squad selection tomorrow…

I.E. one strong enough to hopefully win it, but Arne’s focus is clearly elsewhere, his emphasis is clearly on rotation and game time rather than prioritising a lesser trophy…

Depends on your point of view, its certainly an approach that can come back to bite you in the bum…

Personally, I think ideally right now we need to get back into a winning rhythm and this is a perfect opportunity to do so, if heaven forbid we do actually lose tomorrow, unfortunately the Spurs game then takes on a completely different complexion, especially given Spurs confidence was bouyed by beating the very same Southampton 5-0 only last week….

Damned if you do, damned if you don't, hey ho thats why Arne gets paid the big bucks… fingers crossed eh..

Rumours that Ngumoha may make the bench tonight.. Wouldn't that just be epic to see him in the first team already.

So young and so much talent. Huge step up for him if he gets the nod but they obviously think he is close.

Really looking forward to seeing him in the first team. Whenever that may be...
Maybe Southampton throw on a few young lads themselves, and we might see young Ngumoha get his cameo...

Liverpool XI: Kelleher, Gomez, Endo, Nunez, Mac Allister, Gakpo, Elliott, Alexander-Arnold, Quansah, Morton, Nyoni.

Subs: Jaros, Chiesa, Jota, Tsimikas, McConnell, Nallo, Ngumoha, Danns, Norris.

The 17-year-old is named in the Reds’ starting XI for the quarter-final clash as Arne Slot makes several changes.

Alexis Mac Allister returns after suspension, while there is also a berth for Tyler Morton.

Rio Ngumoha is included on the substitutes’ bench, as well as Kostas Tsimikas following injury.

    - Elliott used on the right in a front three
    Looks promising.
