Our form now is similar to the post league cup form 11 months ago. Yes we are not losing but we had no control there in the latter part of the 2nd half.

Just said the same. They're out on their feet and it's not gonna get any better.
Virgil at the end just whacked the ball ,hits a villa player and gives them possession. That's exactly what cost us the win at Everton. It's just blind panic like under Klopp, begging for the final whistle.
It just feels like Deja vu all over again. They're panicking because they have something to protect.

We played pretty well for most of it

Gave 2 poor goals away & missed too many great chances, we could easily have scored 6 & should have had 4 goals minimum

Jota missed the target from great positions for 2

Sloppy missed one he just had to life over the keeper

Nunez missed an open goal & putting one on a plate for Mo

In situations like that get Diaz on instead as he’ll at least keep the press on

    Nunez deflated the team tonight

Can you see anything occurring that is suddenly going to get us to revert us back to playing how we were earlier in the season? I can't.

Having a thin, not as strong as suggested squad that is being flogged to death, I fear that we won't revert back, never mind that each subpar performance we put in is going to sap our current lack of confidence even more.

Rather have Merino up front from arsenal ffs

not happy with slot tonight either, bad subs. and jones shouldn't have started on the left
That was his Ying to his Brentford Yang.
Cost us a win really, a bread n butter finish and he misses. The thing is you'd bet more money in him missing than scoring.

Is that just 2 wins in the last 8 away games?

Need to stop the dropping off crap just press teams & when we’re on top, keep going for more goals without being hung go obviously

But sitting g back waiting for the whistle cost us v Everton nearly cost us v Wolves & cost us a goal just before HT with not playing to the whistle annoyingly involved in that too

Are we dropping off as we are relying on the same players, energy levels dropping?

Agree. Probably the best we've played in the league this year. We were all over them when we got that second. He should have left Jota on,I don't get why he took him off.
Nunez misses a sitter and then Villa take over. In fairness Jota missed a hat tricks worth of chances too.

Our set pieces are just abysmal. WtF they're working on in training I've no idea.

Seems strange to be disappointed by going 8 points clear like. It's just we are looking really weary and there's more to be concerned about than confident about.

I think endo might even have to start , bring some fresh legs , I think although off form jota came off to early he was just getting into it , same with Trent , gakpo can’t get back quick enough and I would bring chiesa on in front of Nunez every time for rest of the season
