I wonder if any of our players get injured on international duty. Now that would make the run in of the league interesting wouldn’t it ?.

    I think so.

Or at least he should have if we have any brains in the lot running this club.
And he should take Darwin along with him, and I wouldn't be mad if Barcelona came for Diaz either, if those rumours are to be believed.

We pretty much have to rebuild our entire frontline - regardless of whether Mo stays or goes.

And then there's the Fullback issue (both flanks), some CB cover, and that midfield 6 that's perpetually a problem for this club to fix.

I feel bad for Kelleher that that's his farewell game from the club essentially.
He's been a great servant for the club,...

...even though he could have done better with that first goal.
Agree about Jota. He's offering absolutely nothing at all. He's had plenty of time together upto speed,Injuries catching up with him.
The attack looks like the area that needs the most attention in the summer. If Salah is marked out or has an off game there's not much other outlet.
Gakpo was in great form but obviously not fit at the moment and Diaz,Jota and Nunez not quite offering enough a lot of the time.
Credit to Newcastle they outfought us everywhere. Today was their day, shit happens and we moved on.
Not being bitter but I'm not losing too much sleep over not winning the league cup.

We made it so easy for them, they didn’t even need there first choice left back and winger.

After what we've served up in our last few games, I think the run-in could end up being 'interesting' irrespective of what happens to any of our players whilst on international duty.

Took over a much better squad than Klopp but that has to he balanced against him coming from the Dutch league. Jurgen's Dortmund had win their league and lost a CL final in the dying seconds.
Ask me a year ago and a top 3 or 4 finish plus a cup and a decent CL run would've seen me happy. Fascinating to see hus rebuild with the bonus of being champions.
Also Jurgen didn't have to cope with the chatter of 3 of our spine being close to contract ends.

Fair to say it’s been a really bad day/week. Absolutely gutted. Have we “turned up” in a final in the last 10 years? We’ve got over the line plenty of times, but it’s always a grind. Today we just looked bereft in every department.

    Congratulations to Newcastle.
I bet you can squeal like a pig!

Really looking forward to seeing our lads back in action again fully rested recharged & reinvigorated for our next game in almost 2 weeks time

People are being overly critical of late because they have been short of rest with our limited quality in depth meaning the best 12-14 play every game

    Onwards and Upwards YNWA

We’re Liverpool Fc we are no way going to win this league at a canter. We’ve lost one game all season in the league, I can see us losing at least another 3 and at least 3 draws.
