Kelleher out Kerkez in (shouldn’t be much difference, maybe £10m

Nunez out Cunha and Ryan Cherki in.
We’ve already had a £75m offer for Nunez, Cunha £62m release clause, Cherki £20m (watch him) so around £7m deficit.

Invest £50m ish each in a DM and a CB, Dean Hujisen at Bournemouth seems to be favourite for CB at the moment.

So that’s an FSG investment of around £120m.

If we recoup money from a possible sale of Elliott (£35m) and £10m to let a left back go there’s enough to bring in an RB too.

Windy you've already planned these xfer windows better than Richard Hughes. If slot and him aren't having serious discussions by end of April about the squad then get shot of Hughes first.

There's been a few links with that Etikike from Frankfurt. More so than Cunha, I think it might be him who they sign.
Looks like a decent player from the highlights I've watched. Pacey, strong and skillful.

I genuinely think RB is going to be shared between Jones,Bradley and Quansah. I don't see us buying one.

I too would like to see Bacjetic given a chance. If Slot fancies that you can bet it'll happen as a cost saver too.
We need a midfielder regardless of who, Paqueta yesterday is a player we could really use. Not likely obviously with the gambling carry on hanging over him but he's a player who'd fit right in.

I’ve watched Etikike and I’m not sure he’s what we need. We often have to find our way past parked buses with little or no space to work in, which requires clever technical players as opposed to Nunez/Etikike types who need space in behind to run into.

Cunha’s temperament however, makes him less likely

Good points too Tees, although Isak is undoubtedly clinical hes also injured plenty, built like a toothpick (are the 2 things related?) Would cost a fortune and clearly would have to be paid £10-15M per season. Rather use that outlay over 2 positions personally. Think you're correct on RB, quansah will become the RB/RCB utility man like gomez has been, and Jones will also get more playing mins between RB and midfield which will please him I guess. Gomez I'd guess will prob be sold and hopefully a pretty high quality RCB bought. If that player however was 2 footed that would be great as he could be mentored as virg successor too.

FSG are all out of capital spend excuses as stadium improvements are complete (for now). I'd imagine they probably roll out some poverty cry due to increased employer national insurance liabilities or the like though.

not sure how bad his temperament is,he did a decent thing and signed an extension so that Wolves would get a fee for him. Instead of him going for zero at the end of the season.. Certain player at LFC could have done similar.

We may end up with Guehi at palace,, hes on his last year.. unless like Man-united and we pay 65 million for Mason Mount who was on his last year. Can't see him going for similar. Not that i know much about Guehi.
could replace Quansah.. seems hes gone backwards. Was very good last season.. But who knows what the next 3 months will bring transfer wise. Hopefully get most of our business done early

Big Vrig’s comments are interesting. Maybe he wanted assurances that there would be decent investment in the squad before signing a contract extension.

We’ve been here before though and know not to expect too much from FSG so i will hopefully be pleasantly surprised at the end of the summer window.

However, given that it is unlikely we will witness this scale of transfer activity, the question then has to be, what are the more pressing Transfer priorities that we must address in the Summer.

In my honest opinion I think this Summer we need to Prioritise in this order, the following areas with New signings.

    1. New Left back, Robbo as back up / competition and lose Tsimikas.
    2. New Right back as Back up / competition to Bradley if we do lose Trent.
    3. New CF, New Centre forward, keep Jota in the short term, lose Nunez.
    4. New CB succession planning / competition cover for VVD and Konate, lose injury prone Gomez.

However, not sure we will make 4 signings this summer, but we did a couple of seasons ago, so maybe we will again.

The following positions to be addressed in the January or Summer Transfer window of 2026, but in the meantime, the following options we can consider to strengthen next season from within the Club.

    5. Back up DM. Give Bajetic his opportunity to shine, keep Endo.
    6. Back up RW. Give Chiesa and Ben Doak more opportunities to shine in lesser games.
7 Back up AM. Give Elliott more opportunities to shine and cement his future at LFC.

Hey ho…opinions eh, like a*******s we all have one.
The centreforward rumours are interesting. Presently there's about a bit of talk about Isak to LFC from the cup final online lip readers...... it's a rumour

Realistically any analysis of our stats shows it's Salah v Gakpo, Jota, Diaz & Nunez combined for Xg & goals. Similar on Xa & Assists.

In our system/team Salah gets as many opportunities to score and assist as our left wing forward & centreforward combined, up against the 4 other players who start there mostly: Diaz, Gakpo, Nunez & Jota.

Isak is Newcastles Salah & Vice versa. Same with Halaand. So if we sign him, he'll be playing in a side with Salah.
Now if that worked out well for us. It might see both Jota & Núñez shipped out. I rate Nunez highly and would keep him over Jota on availability.
But Isak would be starting most games you'd imagine.
Meaning Diaz, Gakpo, Jota, Nunez & Chiesa maybe even Elliott too would be vying for the one start.

At the minute it looks like Jota is highly ranked by Slot. Maybe he's in the shop window.
Looks like Darwins in the doldrums having been in form relative to others starting recently.
Chiesa barely seen and Elliott not got much of a sniff. Again in good form recently.
It'll be interesting to see what happens. For me Slots refused to start form players who've bailed him out and it's cost him/us recently. To keep that part/moan brief, it's not a great sign for said players.

Giorgi will arrive to replace Kelleher by reports.

Frimong, Kerkez, Guehl, Zubminedi/2.0 & Isak have gotten mentions.

A big realignment in defence seems to be on the cards.

1 Replacing Trent, and 2 the previously departed Matip with 3 Robbo moving to a Milner role.

4 Maybe a Zubi/midfielder arrives. Endo, Elliott, Morton all taking seniors berths in the squad, and young Bajcetic returning from loan. 4 players who'd be on the chopping list.

5 Maybe Isak arrives, a media darling. Some of Nunez, Jota, Chiesa & Diaz (to Barca rumour) could be chopped likewise.

If you think FSG are cheapskates or trying to stay good with ffp/etc then Diaz to Barca could provide some funds.

    For me
Kelleher, Trent, Tsimi, Endo, Morton & Jota are leaving.

Giorgi, Frimpong, Kerkez, Guehl, Zubminedi-2.0 & Isak arrive.

    3 Keepers

    Alisson/Giorgi/Jaros

    9 Defenders

    Frimpong/Bradley/Konate/Guehl
    VVD/Quansah/Gomez/Kerkez/Robbo

    6 Midfielders

    Grav/Zubi2.0/Maca/Jones/Sobozla/Elliott

    6 Attackers

    Salah/Chiesa/Isak/Nunez/Diaz/Gakpo

That's a 24 man squad with 5 further additions to Giorgi. And 6 leaving.
It's a 25 man squad if Bajcetic counts as a senior player. Doak as I recall will qualify as a youth.

Our presumed best 11 & cup team would be

    Alisson
    Frimpong Konate VVD Kerkez
    Grav Maca
    Salah Sobozla Diaz
    Isak

    Giorgi
    Bradley Guehl Quansah/Gomez Robbo(c)
    Zubimendi Jones
    Chiesa Elliott Gakpo
    Núñez

Cunha is a great player, think he would like to come here too, from what I've read. But I think his temperament issues would put us off signing him.
Think Huiysen would be great signing for us. He is going to be a massive player for someone.
I would be shocked if we bought Isak, and if Newcastle sold him to us.
Is Frimpong better than Connor? Don't think so.
Massive drop off in form from Robbo. Sad to see. Maybe he will finally get that move to Celtic that he has wanted since he was a kid. It will be addressed. Kerkez will come is because Dom Sob told him to.
