Something I mentioned last summer in wake of the failed attempt…minus Klopp and that massive Charisma to lure them up to the North West - is gonna be difficult when London’s calling. Does Mané come here without Jurgen..? Virgil? From the south Coast…? Possibly but I’m not so sure.

Zubimendi knew of Arsenals interest already last summer. In his head - IF he leaves the beautiful Basque country to travel north - it’s London or Paris, Milan or even Munich… Not the North West of England.

That’s not me saying what I would do - But I’m totally biased. I love Liverpool as my roots are embedded in the city. As a Spaniard/Basque - it’s the cold hard reality. If you have a choice between London and Liverpool - it’s not a tough decision.

They played CL last year and finished in the EL spots in the league.

They played EL football this year and have no European football next year.

He ballsed up his chance to move to a big club last summer. He's joining Arsneal now.

I wonder how many Basque people fawn over the nations capital city ? Doesn't really fit their regional reputation.

It was a blessing in disguise in a way.. whos to say Zubimendi would have performed to the levels of Gravenerch did this season? we may have actually not won the league. Anyway again how they gonna get him in the 11 with Rice and Odegaard+ Haverzt. you can play very compact with them 4. but shit all goal end product. Its likely Havertz will not play that often if they get an out and out striker.
I know its easy to say but i prefer our midfield.. plenty of strength. and promise of goals from Macca and Szoboszlai
I think the latter can easily get more going forward.
Cleaning up the Scots since the 13th century

I guess standards change after you've made your first million but some of these boys who grow up playing on hard uneven surfaces kicking a bundle of leaves tied together can probably put up with roughing it in Liverpool for a few seasons (or they could live in Rhyl and commute).

No doubt Klopp attracted players, Rafa too with Alonso, Garcia, Reina. Let's see who Slot can attract...

That's a good point. Grav may have had a season like the previous one. In and out and not getting enough game time to get any consistency in his game. Zubimendi might possibly have struggled. Who knows.
It turned out well for us in the end.

Or we might have knocked out PSG - won thr League Cup and be champions.

It’s all guesswork - BUT imo - thinking that by buying less and missing out we did better is believing in what ifs and maybe’s.

IMO a far more poignant what if or maybe than Grav - Zubimendi - is that our rivals Shat the bed. That won’t happen again 2 seasons in a row.. Or at least - it is extremely unlikely,

we needed to sign more last summer and again this Jan… Wr didn’t and in the league at least - it didn’t effect us. 1 or 2 major injuries and that could if or maybe different,

The idiots will point to the title… but IMO we were remiss to only sign Chiesa regardless of what happened. And we will be just as remiss this summer as we were in 2019 and 2020 IF we don’t go big before the window shuts.

Amazing achievement from Slot and the team Klopp built - but people have short memories. Klopp had to completely rebuild the midfield, An area neglected for years prior. It’s still short.

Enjoy number 20 - but remember the words of Moran.

You spent all season shitting on the squad, and you're already starting next seasons doomerism before the PL title is lifted.

"The idiots will point to the title…"
AKA number 20, a second PL title in just over 5 years.

The squad isn’t nearly as good as it could and should be ‘F$G Fan Boi’ .

I know you think we’re the bestest team in the world. But the reality is different. ‘Reality’ seems to be a struggle for you,

As expected while shilling for your employer & calling Trent a “cunt” all part of the defence of the money men.. “F$G fan boi” you keep falling over yourself in error.

Oh and Nobody is shitting on the squad in the slightest ‘F$G fan Boi’ BUT despite your consistent and ridiculous crap - even the stuff delivered on the day we win number 20…Shamefull… a recent stand out is ‘Gakpo had a better season than Mo’….would be just the latest nonsense highlighting how pointless you are as a so called fan of Liverpool FC or indeed someone worth talking to about football a all.

Stick rigidly to the Cigar smoking wrinkled dick - that’s all you’re good for

Eddie Howe with the chance to clinch second if he can beat ArtetaFamTV for a 4th time this season next weekend.

Better for the Toon than an ‘F$G Fan Boi’ though.
