Stating that Arteta overtook Klopp in the league table is a fact, not an opinion on who is the 'better' coach.

The reason for that overtake is the substance you're ignoring: Backing.

The fact is Arteta has averaged well over £80 million per transfer window net - Klopp had less than £40 million a season. It’s half the backing from an already lower net spend which predated Mikel up at the Arsenal.

You can list 'expensive signings' all you want, but the Net Spend data proves Klopp was operating with one hand tied behind his back compared to the investment Arsenal put into their rebuild. Klopp’s squad was running on fumes after winning everything, while Arteta was allowed to spend heavily to refresh. Ignoring that financial handicap is where the real lack of integrity lies.

Klopp had less than HALF the net spend and as a result the opportunity in the market that Arteta had. WHY? Had he not proved through the incredible use of the Coutinho funds that he could land the players the other top clubs wanted..? A time where we could go toe to toe with City, Chelsea and the Arse for top targets. This opportunity was missed to pay for stands.. Super swift pay back on a cheap as chips - half solution.. This is what resulted in missing out x2 on titles we win with just a little more backing.... Why? when revenues were at record levels? WHY when the value of all Premier league football clubs was rising out of all proportion?

Were F$G broke? So short of funds that they couldn't allow their biggest franchise to pay for its own upgrades over a more reasonable time frame..? NO..
