This is always going to be the problem when teams sit deep. They force you to press onto them.. they compact their area and and break on you.. you can't sit off cause they will do the same. Some teams have to take the initiative..We didnt deserve to lose today on the play of things . But we did, time to move on start winning.

We are struggling no matter what tactics opposition teams employ. We have deserved very little this season other than what we've been handed in our last four games.

Thats how it goes on here.. He was very good today (only 1 who was) ,.. he just mistimed a header at the end.. it happens..

He also hit the post in the first half when he should have scored and killed several of our attacking moves with miplaced passes and bad decision-making dribbling into walls of defenders. And was generally gash like the rest of the team in the first half.

What i would take away: ekitike must start. Chiesa must start. Salah must not. Isak bench. Konate was better. Frimpong for salah? Frimpong showed more than salah in a few minutes. Gakpo i wouldn't be too hard on. Yes he missed some, one a sitter. But at least he's getting on the end of things. Wouldn't drop him. Wirtz was okay. Getting better.

We've barely deserved to win a game all season, we are getting close to a quarter in and not looking like we're close to clicking at all and the worrying part is there's just been zero control in dny game.
It was always going to be difficult to integrate so many and there was a danger of too many changes but I think we are entitled to expect a bit more from the new recruits but there's also the form of existing players.

Slot doesn't rate chiesa. Or has an issue with him.

Ekitike should be the starting cf based on performances. But isak was bought as the main guy. I'd say they expect Ekitike to start how he has. But I agree, he shoukd be starting right now. Ease isak into the team.

Slot needs to show something in the next few weeks to turn this around.

The new lads haven't been great, but neither have the lads that romped home last season.

Mo, Mac, Konate have been shocking. Grav, Virg, Bradley and Gakpo havent been great. Only Ali and Szoboslai have been anywhere near the required levels.

That many players 'off form' at the same time suggests to me that it's systematic.

Gakpo was our biggest goal threat today, hit the woodwork three times (once from a deflected cross) and missed a header from about 4 yards.
Fine margins maybe but he really should have scored at least two of those and probably three, enough to have won the game.

At least he was getting in position for getting chances. Gawd knows where Isak was most of the time. Forgot he was on the pitch in the second half
