Why do we always have to be the one pressing forward?? just sit off and that allows your wide player to have a 1 on 1 if the opposition come forward. its seems we can only play one way.. we are so easy to play against.... block us and run at us from deep.

Gomez can be a good player at times.. but hes nowhere what we want.. his personality is enough for me,, its like theres no one home inside his head.. Hes never showed any emotion..

Tbf Gomez killed it with his error/assist for their opener, he looked laggy for a few minutes after it too.
Obviously the selection shows we have more pressing priorities with PL & CL games to play.

No your right mate , I’ve said it on here before , there is no physicality anywhere , you can go through the entire lineup and bar van dijk or konate there’s no physicality, obviously gerrard but id kill for a mascherano in this squad . A few midfielders , strong quick and aggressive

all systems have issues.. Palace play a formation of 3/5/2.. Sarr and others never really go wide .. they run through the middle.. and expect their fullbacks to keep the width, most of the time they have a back 5 with 2 in front.. They are allowing us the width and block the middle of the pitch,.like most teams do. its forcing us to have more ball.. but we don't have the attackers to create and score chances.
