Hughes overruled Slot on Luis Diaz sale
According to sources speaking to CaughtOffside, Hughes overruled Slot regarding the sale of the Colombian attacker four months ago, with the Dutchman describing it as a ‘sad day’ when the player left.
'The Liverpool head coach didn’t want to lose the 28-year-old and had even been pushing for him to be handed a new contract, but the sporting director didn’t see the value in extending the winger’s deal and viewed the transfer offer from Bayern as ‘appealing’.
Make of that what you will but it is clear even from the language and the timings that this was the case.
And this is why I reserve any blame for Slot...we don't know how much he has been undermined... I can see what is going on at the club even if many can't.
Sterling work from Hughes this - no doubt acting on behalf of book balancing rather than team facilitating.. . Sat on his arse for a year and - clearly is as blind as a bat and wasn't interested in paying Diaz what he was worth - saw the money and had the power (who gave him that) to overrule the man who "supposedly' won the title..
Time for some to smell the coffee

many more still hang on the words of big media houses. The public are largely idiots. Totally ignorant to the levels of baloney that is published via sources. The Caught Offside story could well be simple hearsay.. who knows..? WHO cares.. ?
