So although not as bad as ACL still likely to be 3-4 months before any realistic return to first team training

We will surely go in for Semenyo now…?
Let's be honest, doubt we'll see him up and running till next season, even if he does come back he'll take ages to get fit again then probably something else will happen.

    Oh well, always next season.

We need Semenyo and a CB to get 4th I think.... we're obsessed once again with GUehi and Semenyo- but i'm sure there's other players out there.... like I'm not sure why we was so obsessed with isak..... scouts don't have a hard job here do they? already known players.

    • Divock Origi's available after AC Milan terminated his contract.

Baffles me how some players leave us that was at least half decent--- end up in this situation.

        • According to super Italian journalist, Semenyo choose Man City and have informed all clubs interested on him his decision. We need a new forward, Isak injured and Chiesa could score 20 goals in one game that he still play only last 5 minutes of the games

Let’s see if we try to match City then.

If we are in for a forward then it would be a shame to let this one slip as he can play anywhere up top and proven premier league experience

            • Its rather a sad state of affairs that Man-cheaty have been under investigation for a decade or more and got charged almost 3 years ago from Premier League ,115 charges and NOTHING still has been done in any form of punishment.

Sometimes people (all walks of life) are suited for one situation, be it time, place, culture, right stage of their life.

There's probably some 3-year spell where a Manager we don't rate (Bruce, Pardew, Allardyce) could have worked at a Top Four club, then absolutely tanked somewhere else - and so on.

Zidane won multiple Champion's Leagues as a Manager but I don't think he'd turn Man United into a club that won the Premier League multiple years in a row. Aspas has had a pretty good career overall but didn't work here - and so on.

It's definitely baffling (and fascinating) how it works out sometimes.

                    • "Man City in advanced talks with Bournemouth's Semenyo"

                      Time to look elsewhere

at least he'll help City hopefully beat arsenal to the title.

                      • We're getting quite heavily linked (again) with Barcola. Happy to be proved wrong, but to me looks like a player who consistently needs ten chances to finish one.
City are prepared to let Savinho or Marmoush go, if and when they sign Semenyo. Marmoush would be great, he has played with Hugo of course. But would City sell him to us?

I read that he was nailed on to join us on New Year's Day... and then this, the day after a Liverpool fan appeared in court and denied racially abusing the player at Anfield.

                          • I don't think that incident would have had any effect on the deal. Our club handled it very well when it happened. The fan was thrown out immediately and Slot even went on to the pitch to have a word with Semenyo about it.
I think players know that there can be one moron in every crowd. Look how many black players are at Chelsea and they have the most racist fan base in the prem.

                            • And I read that we pulled out of any proposed deal before a decision was made. The club were waiting for Slot to agree the deal … he didn’t.

I would question his judgement (again) if that is the case.
