Plenty on here would be raving about it had Wirtz had had the same effect.

Plenty want Wirtz to succeed so of course will pick up on an small crumb.
As far as Minus concerned, I think what I see is that his ratio of scores to misses in big chances is now dramatically worse than previously - I don't pretend to know why. He is certainly still insanely fit. Has he lost pace? Is it the new system or new players playing him in?
For wherever reason this puts his place more at risk for me. If either we or he consider his place no longer certain on a weekly basis, I think we should probably cash in whilst we still can.

Think I read his running stats are up in last season. Could be part of the problem if true

One game down without Mo and on current form we didn't really miss him. It was nice to see Frimpong beat his man on the outside a couple of times. That's something Mo doesn't have the legs for anymore.

Yep we’ve missed that since Diaz went. Cody and Mo always come inside. So predictable

Let’s hope Frimpong can keep fit as we are going to need him

We've not lost a single game when Salah has not been available. I think he'll stay till at least the summer. I think whether he fulfils his contract or not will depend on how he does between his return and the end of the season. If he plays well I can see him staying.

Not arguing for or against his staying, but he'll need to play pretty bloody well in the mind if Hughes et Al to justify £400,000 per-week for the 26/27 season when they'll likely feel they can get a fee in Summer and utilise that wage output on a player or two that are part of our future.

Naturally on a sentimental level it'd be great if he could rediscover his best or evolve his game and see out his contract with loads of goals, or become an assist machine for someone else, but I think a Summer sale is more likely.

Yep, I think a summer sale is most likely now.

Against 9 men and Wolves… Would surely have lost both had Mo Salah played. Right..?

As Ian likes to say, results are facts.

And that they are - as is 2 points from 18 games - with a minus 29 Goal diff. These numbers are all factual.. You can look them up.

And we won. Two in a row without Mo.

Yep 1 against a side with the worst home record in the league over the last 2 seasons - and with just 10 and then just 9 men.

And then at home to the worst side i. Premier league history over 18 games.

Facts. Not ones you’d want to be gloating over either. But a wins a win.

And for me - we win both playing with Mo Salah

Not the Mo Salah of this season so far. Frimpong was excellent 1st half.
