Aw jokestrap is trying his hardest.. gotta give him that. They got 2 more points

And it's not an answer is it. In far easier season -

    No pressure at all.
    No expectation.
No 90 point City and No 89 point Arsenal...

He did well and got 2 points more..

This is before we look at:

    Midfield in its second season.
A full season under Klopp's tutelage.
    No injury crisis.
No monumental announcement to derail the campaign..

Slot - If I had 15 attackers I'd be happy to have Salah back

"First of all, he needs to play another big game for Egypt on Saturday and then he comes back to us," said Slot.

"I am happy that he comes back. Mo has been so important for this club, for me, so I am happy that he is back.

"Even if I had 15 attackers I still would have been happy if he came back but that is not our current situation."

Liverpool are unbeaten in six games since Salah left for Afcon, winning three, and face Burnley at Anfield on Saturday (15:00 GMT).

But with record signing Alexander Isak out for a number of months after undergoing surgery on a left leg fracture, Slot will be glad to have his attacking options boosted.

The Reds travel to Marseille for a Champions League game on Wednesday but no decision has been made over whether Salah will be available for that, or if he will be held back until Bournemouth away on 24 January.

"We are talking together about [the Marseille game] now," Slot said.

"We are in talks with him about what is expected of him over there, what is expected over here. But first of all he needs to have an important game on Saturday and next week he will be back."

On his talks with Salah following the very public fallout last month, the Dutchman added: "What happens between Mo and me, on the phone or over here, stays between the two of us.

"And I don't think it is necessary for me to share all the private conversations I have."

Mo played a lot of football at afcon. Can't see him being ready for Marseille on Wednesday. Maybe come on for 15 minutes at the end if it's close.

He's more likely to be available for Bournemoutn on Saturday.

We're unbeaten since he went to afcon. Frimpong and Wirtz have stepped up.

Real LFC fans would be happy about that.

Fucked up that post just woke up i'll delete and start again..... but happy about being unbeaten? if it was barca, Real, PSG, arsenal away was good but that's it...... the other teams starting 11 cost as much as wirtz+isak did ffs pretty much.

Imagine if we won the games we really should be winning, we'd be 5-6 pts behind arsenal only instead we can't score 0-0 draws... and if we're lucky we get a goal then..... opposite team has one chance, one goal

IF we have turned a corner and we couldn't just finish v burnley.... then we'll be ok, if not we're in a bit of a pickle because we've had a very easy run of games.... compared to the future, probably the easiest run we've had besides arsenal away.... but unbeaten great.

we had a chance to pull always and we've blown it, now we've got tough games coming up, players injured.... and the gap to 4th is even smaller, fantastic stuff

                        Well happy.

I was suggesting that fans should be happy about Frimpoing and Wirtz stepping up when Mo was away.

Our form hasn't been great. No denying that. But it is getting better. And if Mo can rediscover any of his previous form I expect we'll improve again.

If Salah, Wirtz and Ekitike link up we'll be in business.

Interesting thread.. So after setting up the poll he'd hoped would be a prelude to the great mans exit... it's less "Two down. Two wins." and more hoping for his return and link up..?
